Can we name our son Noah? :(

Noah is my favourite name (has been for years) and DH's!

Our surname is a profession (I suppose?) so it sounds like "know a..." :(

The thing is, both names are rarely said together!

Should we go for the name we love?

I don't see why not, children will always tease one another, about something.

LucyFuckingPevensie · 27/10/2016 17:49

Depends, if it's Plumber then no.
It's hard to say without knowing the last name ?

EssentialHummus · 27/10/2016 17:50

Baker?

I think it's fine. If you're keen on it, go for it.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 27/10/2016 17:51

Noah Taylor is fine.

BlackSnow0210 · 27/10/2016 17:52

It's Sailor...

LucyFuckingPevensie · 27/10/2016 17:52

Yes, Taylor is fine. I don't even think Noah Carpenter is too bad.

Aquiver · 27/10/2016 17:53

Oh I don't like Noah Sailor I'm afraid... too nautical! Sad

dailymailarecunts · 27/10/2016 17:53

Hmmm, I have just said various professions after the name noah so am going to say no. It does sound like "know a...." when you say it like that (can see so far I'm only one who thinks this though, so feel free to ignore me! )

mudandmayhem01 · 27/10/2016 17:53

Noah Sailor Confused

Lilaclily · 27/10/2016 17:54

Noah Sailor?

No I don't think that's a good idea, too many connotations of sea, arks etc imo

dailymailarecunts · 27/10/2016 17:55

Cross posts, I didn't think of that profession! I'm afraid i still think it sounds wrong thoigh Sad

BlackSnow0210 · 27/10/2016 17:55

Damn :(

GinIsIn · 27/10/2016 17:56

Sorry OP but I think it's one nautical reference too far!

dailymailarecunts · 27/10/2016 18:00

Any of these any good instead?

Notverylucky · 27/10/2016 18:01

It's a lovely name; but not with that surname. There's only one thing for it: you'll have to divorce him! Wink

SnipSnipMrBurgess · 27/10/2016 18:04

What about ethan? Nathan?

EsmesBees · 27/10/2016 18:08

Another don't think so I'm afraid. How about Ezra or Luca if you like names ending in 'a'?

BlackSnow0210 · 27/10/2016 18:17

Some lovely suggestions, so I thank you! But our second favourite name is Elliot...

Elliot Sailor Confused thoughts?

I'm so sad about Noah :(

LucyFuckingPevensie · 27/10/2016 19:27

Sorry op, I wouldn't either.
Fwiw we couldn't use my ultimate favourite name as ds initials would have been BO. I much prefer the name we actually used now and am a bit meh about my old favourite.

LucyFuckingPevensie · 27/10/2016 19:27

Elliot is lovely.

NoahVale · 27/10/2016 19:28

absolutely fine.

Notverylucky · 27/10/2016 19:29

Elliot's lovely too.

NoahVale · 27/10/2016 19:30

oh Sad Noah the Sailor, honestly I still think it would be fine

Pancakeflipper · 27/10/2016 19:30

I like Elliot Sailor

DoYouRememberJustinBobby · 27/10/2016 19:30

Elliot is LOVELY.
How about in the same vein - Elijah, Seth, Adam, Issac, Joel, Reuben?
