Thomas or Samuel.
Sorry, but Hugo is one of those names that makes me shudder Confused

Loyly · 17/10/2016 11:33

Hugo

Ferrari2016 · 17/10/2016 11:34

All 3 nice. Personally I like Hugo best.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 17/10/2016 11:35

Thomas if you like Tom.

KoalaDownUnder · 17/10/2016 11:35

Ooh, I was rubbing my hands together with glee, but these are really inoffensive. Grin

I vote:

Hugo (but prefer Hugh tbh)
Thomas
Samuel

I find Samuel slightly wet. Blush Also Daniel. I think k just don't like names with that sound at the end!

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 17/10/2016 11:35

Thomas and Samuel are the names of what seems like 90% of the boys aged between 0 and 18.
I know a million (slight exaggeration) of both.

Hugo is better because it's not as popular but it is rather 'posh'.

Sandsnake · 17/10/2016 11:35

Samuel, I think. All nice names though!

HardcoreLadyType · 17/10/2016 11:36

Samuel and Thomas are meh.

Go for Hugo.

KoalaDownUnder · 17/10/2016 11:37

Avtually, scratch that - I only like Hugh. Eggy is right. Hugo not nice.

Thomas, but actually prefer just Tom, by a long way. (Yes, I know you're not allowed to use nicknames as full names on mumsnet, but I don't care)

VoldysGoneMouldy · 17/10/2016 11:39

Love Hugo. Hate the others.

RiverTam · 17/10/2016 11:41

None.

Sugarpiehoneyeye · 17/10/2016 11:42

Samuel, love Sam.

Chinlo · 17/10/2016 11:46

Samuel and Thomas are both awesome. Hard to pick one of the two.

Hugo is.. meh it's okay.

MyBreadIsEggy · 17/10/2016 11:46

Koala never thought of shortening it down to Hugh! That's much better!
When I hear the name Hugo, I immediately think of the irritating, fat gargoyle from The Hunchback of Notre Dame Hmm

MotherDuckSaid · 17/10/2016 11:48

I'm putting ticks next to each name pple say they prefer ,on paper (yes it's got to this stage)!
Appreciate the feedback :-D
Any alternative suggestions welcome !

Thomas

NappingRabbit · 17/10/2016 11:51

Thomas is fine, as is Tom but I really don't like Tommy as a nickname.

I like Sam but don't like the 'mule' sound in Samuel.

Really not keen on Hugo, far too Made in Chelsea for me.

PotatoBread · 17/10/2016 11:52

Sorry but I don't really like any of them. As a PP said Thomas and Samuel are the names of about 90% of the younger male population (also a slight exaggeration). If I had to pick it would be Thomas though.

Really dislike Hugo. It's a bit too Made in Chelsea or whatever that prog is called

AlexandraEiffel · 17/10/2016 11:52

Thomas is too common for me. Which is entirely contradictory as my eldest has a very popular name.

Hugo too posh. Really not keen.

Samuel lovely. Was a contender for my eldest. I don't know any children called Samuel.

windowsneedaclean · 17/10/2016 11:54

Love Samuel, Thomas is ok but a bit boring and Hugo is too posh imo

This naming boys malarkey is turning out to be even harder than finding a decent double pram ! Why do I have ten girls names on the tip of my tongue ?!
