Dh loves Heidi I'm not 100% on it but have no other names in mind. It was supposed to be dd2s name but we changed mind at last minute .

What is your honest opinion on Heidi ? Be brutally honest please baby is due in 2 and a half weeks so need a name asap.

Hi de hi
Ho de ho

Morning campers ...that's my first thought. But I'm old!!

Allalonenow · 05/04/2016 00:13

I love it, pretty for a little girl and does the transition to cool classic grown up name beautifully.

I've known a couple of Heidis and they've been lovely warm generous women.

AKissACuddleAndACheekyFinger · 05/04/2016 00:14

Sorry and I usually only make positive comments but you asked for brutal...I hate it. Reminds me of a merry Katona.

AKissACuddleAndACheekyFinger · 05/04/2016 00:14

Kerry Katona even.

GingerLeaves · 05/04/2016 00:24

A girl ruined it for me!

Jw35 · 05/04/2016 00:29

Loved it when I was a kid. I used to read the books and there was a series on TV. I called my dolly Heidi. As an adult it's not a name I would choose, I think it sounds dull sorry. It's short for adelheid (not sure I spelt that right though)

MagratGarlikAgain · 05/04/2016 00:31

ThornyBird, I wonder if we know the same Heidi. The one I know is one of the most beautiful people I know - inside and out.

omri · 05/04/2016 00:38

The only Heidi I know is the most fantastic woman I know. Strong, kind, happy, funny. Best name ever!

marmitecrumpets · 05/04/2016 02:29

I like it

Pipilangstrumpf · 05/04/2016 07:45

I don't like it.

AuntJane · 05/04/2016 08:10

To people of a certain age she would be a little girl running around a mountain with goats.

To people of a different certain age "Hi De Hi!"

marshallzumarubble · 05/04/2016 09:10

I really like it, fun and pretty yet strong and works at every age. It is a lot more popular than your other daughters' lovely names if that bothers you? It is number 84 I think.

BugPlaster · 05/04/2016 09:22

I like it, was on my list but had a boy. Also liked Sadie but now not sure on that.

florascotianew · 05/04/2016 09:56

As earlier poster said, Heidi is short for Adelheid (that's Heidi's 'proper' name in the famous book).

I rather prefer Adelaide, which is one of the many different versions of Adelheid (including Alida, Alice, Adela etc etc). Heidi could still be a nickname, of course.

Summ3r · 05/04/2016 10:13

I love it and it would be in my list only my cousins dog is called Heidi

MrsNuckyT · 05/04/2016 10:42

I love it!

Pinklily1 · 05/04/2016 12:17

I agree with Six but then it does go well with your other children's names (which are lovely!6

Gazelda · 05/04/2016 12:24

I love it.

I know a Heidi is who is fun, independent, smart and a good friend.

I'd forgotten that Kerry Katona named one of hers Heidi, my strongest familiarity is with the book.

Vikkijayne2507 · 05/04/2016 13:00
