Like short, less traditional names but nothing too out there.

could have Sunny Rainny or Windy Rainny ….Grin

Sorry imiss being silly now but I couldn't resist it.

CaptainSubtext · 28/03/2015 08:10

People were only teasing about Rainny because they thought it was a made up first name.

I think Wren as a middle name would work really well.

CaptainSubtext · 28/03/2015 08:16

Matilda Wren Rainny
Margot Wren Rainny
Laurel Wren Rainny
Callia (not sure of spelling) Wren Rainny
Melody Wren Rainny
Amelia Wren Rainny
Niamh Wren Rainny
Alys Wren Rainny
Phoebe Wren Rainny

DailyFailSideBarOfShame · 28/03/2015 08:20

Margot Rainny is nice.

Theas18 · 28/03/2015 08:21

No im afraid it's a comedy combination of names. Sorry about the adverse comments about your surname - thats mean

Artandco · 28/03/2015 08:28

I think it's too much of a tongue twister: you need the break the 'r' sounds up. Add two middle names. Something like:

Pearl Wren Elizabeth Rainny

LastOneDancing · 28/03/2015 08:40

Well, with both of your unusual surnames out and proud, I think it's time for a name change OP.

Wren is very cute but yes, IMO it's a bit much with Rainny.

Willilovethisbabyasmuchasmydog · 28/03/2015 08:43

I don't see the problem with revealing my surname?! It's a a baby name thread, I'm not giving my address or bank details..
Robyn def on the shortlist, oh isn't keen but isnt suggesting anything so he can be persuaded I'm sure.

LastOneDancing · 28/03/2015 08:51

Suit yourself love.

BigfootFilesHisToesInYourTea · 28/03/2015 08:57

What about something like Renata, nickname Ren?

Ham69 · 28/03/2015 09:03

Could you use Diamond as her middle name, op?

Allstoppedup · 28/03/2015 10:08

Sorry OP, I hope my post didn't upset you!

It was the combination of the two names that tickled me not either name separately! For what's it's worth I hate my surname as it's totally bland and common! I think yours (both maiden and married) are lovely.

Ham69 · 28/03/2015 10:21

Sorry Op, can never be bothered to read the whole of a thread but perhaps I should in future. Now realise using Diamond would be totally inappropriate.

seaoflove · 28/03/2015 10:27

It wasn't obvious that Rainny is your surname, OP. People tend not to divulge surnames for privacy reasons, so it was easy to assume that Rainny was your chosen middle name. If it had been clear it was your surname, people wouldn't have been so harsh about it!

I love Iris btw. Wren Rainny = When Rainy, for sure.

MrsCosmopilite · 28/03/2015 11:32

I think it's the combination of similar sounds that irked/annoyed/provoked people.

I quite like the idea of using your surname as a middle name- Wren Diamond Rainny but you may not. Perhaps something non-birdy as a middle name might work, should you like middle names.

Ultimately, if you like a name, use it.

lemonyone · 28/03/2015 11:37

Hi imbeingmissclean - or your willilove (as your name change seems to be)

About revealing your last name - I don't think I've ever seen someone say their last name openly on here. The reason being, if you end up staying on here it can be too easy to identify you and this can lead you open to problems
Personally, I would name change again and keep your last name concealed.

BigfootFilesHisToesInYourTea · 28/03/2015 11:44

Lauren Rainny, also nickname Ren.

Or Jennifer Rainny - wrens are often called jenny-wrens.

Definitely didn't know it was your surname, why would anyone know that?

I just think it's so bloody rude to expect people to be psychic and then be highly offended when they're not. You asked for opinions on what sounded like a first and middle name to a lot of us, you got them.

Did you want everyone to just be false and pretend it sounded ok?

I like the list captainsubtext has made, I think it works nicely as a middle name with your surname.

charlyn · 28/03/2015 14:40

I didn't know it was your surname, i like many others thought it was a made up middle name. I dont see how saying they don't sound right together is being rude though.

I think Robyn Rainny actually sounds fine but agree with other posters that if you want to use Wren as a middle name to use a none r name to break up the sounds.

Amyyy27 · 28/03/2015 19:08

Some rude people... obviously not clear to some but i took it as a surname when reading and even if not theres no need to say its the worst name ever Hmm . i like Wren and with it having a special meaning to you what about either adding a middle name or using as a middle name... or even editing.. say Awren Rainny? If you know what i mean!

Box5883284322679964228 · 30/03/2015 21:55

Think the name has a ring to it actually

Box5883284322679964228 · 30/03/2015 21:57

OP I do think you should have been more upfront in your original post if the name was a sensitive issue for you.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 30/03/2015 22:01

There is no problem in you using your surname. It's up to you, but seeing as you've also included your maiden name then in the unlikely event that someone in rl is reading this thread then you've just outed yourself. If that bothers you.

FatAmy · 30/03/2015 22:10

Does that count as sock puppeting?
