Ruby Isabella or Olivia Rose?

Which do you think is the nicest and goes best with DD1 Louisa?

So choices are

Ruby Isabella

Olivia Rose

Both are quite similar in terms of popularity where we are.

Ruby is much better than Olivia. I really don't understand why that's such a popular name. It makes me think of a greasy smelly olive.

Olivia Rose is very pretty and classy but Ruby Isabella sounds more sparky. Ruby for me (could be biased )

I used to hate Ruby but really like it now. That said, both your names are great and and if I had to choose I would go with Olivia but it would be a very close call.

Definitely Ruby for me, and goes well with Isabella.

Of the two, I prefer Olivia but I personally wouldn't put either with Louisa as it is such a beautiful, classic and underused name. Nothing wrong with either Olivia or Ruby but fwiw, I would choose Isabella as a first name out of all your choices.
With a name like Louisa, I would choose another underused classic such as Juliet, Clara or Helena. Good luck with your decision making.

OP I would go with Ruby because otherwise both your names end in a which causes confusion when calling up the stairs (voice of experience, sister's name also ends in a)

Thank you everyone! It seems quite evenly split, which is pretty much how I feel about both names! We will probably end up not deciding until she's born I would imagine.

Mrsindecision, you have voiced a lot of my own thoughts there! I would love to find another name with all those qualities that Louisa has and that I love as much but it's proving very difficult. I do like Clara but DH isn't keen. It's funny you also mention using Isabella as a first name, as that was actually a front runner for a good while but DH went off it grrrr! Weirdly, in my hormonal state after Louisa was born, I went through a stage of regretting not calling her Isabella, so don't know if that's a sign that I should just use it this time, or if that ship has sailed. I think it might be quite difficult to get DH to love it enough though so my love for it may be redundant anyway!

I'd go for Isabella Rose out of all four names

Eatyourveg Isabella Rose is the name we nearly used for Louisa! I do love it so much, it's just went to the top of my list!

Olivia is quite classic as is Louisa.

Ruby is going to date. I won't say it will date badly but I will say it will date like Lisa or Sharon.
