And where else would you get a baby names thread that references Isaac Asimov? I love MN!

so true awfulomission Smile

Fairy: Your baby will thank you for starting this thread in future years.

Annabel is a lovely name.

Jezabel isn't.

I changed my name by Deed Poll. It cost 20 and can be done online very easily.

SoftSheen · 25/10/2014 10:02

Annabel is a great choice. Classy, understated and beautiful.

HamAndPlaques · 25/10/2014 10:06

Annabel is lovely.

It's the hormones, OP. Women will regularly come on here to canvass opinion on something that think is perfect but is actually probably not a great choice. Sometimes they later come back to thank MN for its wisdom as they can't imagine what they were thinking at the time Smile

(I have a massive dislike of the name Scarlett, fwiw.)

CruCru · 26/10/2014 21:08

It sounds lovely but has been dinged by almost everyone here. She was a queen of Israel who was thrown out of a window and eaten by dogs.

If you would like an Old Testament name, would you consider Miriam? Samaria? Tamar?

Alisvolatpropiis · 26/10/2014 21:40

Well op, I'm in my 20's too and think calling your daughter Jezebel would be a mistake.

Annabel is lovely.

Delilah is usable in terms of "Biblical" names. Just about.

The trouble with living in the UK, where so many people do not practice any religion at all, is that we can forget the huge sway the Bible holds worldwide. Even in mainland Europe. Particularly in the Catholic countries.

Mumpire5 · 26/10/2014 21:44

I think rubella would be a beautiful name if it werent a virus!

Pebbles0934 · 26/10/2014 22:38

When I was in my early teens I claimed I liked the name Jezebel.... I was then informed of it's origins and what it meant! Much to my embarrassment !

I then decided to use for a future cat....

Do the same OP.
