Just how crazy would it be? My DH is not buying it, but I think it's such a sweet sweet name for our little girl. We are lucky to have a classic last name which almost anything goes with. Advice please? I know it's a little bit out there but I love it .....

NO. Poor child.

Fine as a nickname or even as a middle name but I wouldn't do it as a first name. I agree it's a pretty sound but it's essentially the same as calling your child Nemo, Simba or Dumbo! They're names of fictional animals, not people.

Bibi and Biba are good suggestions. And Amber nn Bambi would work really well.

Otherwise, how about:
Bronte, Brodie, Bridie, Bree, Brielle, Bria, Billie, Bonnie, Bessie, Betsy, Betty, Bethel, Bethan, Beth, Blossom

I know an Orlaith (pron. Orla)?
