Just how crazy would it be? My DH is not buying it, but I think it's such a sweet sweet name for our little girl. We are lucky to have a classic last name which almost anything goes with. Advice please? I know it's a little bit out there but I love it .....

Marlow + Bambi to me = Marleigh. Which sounds less offensive to my ear (although not quite my taste. Any good? Or maybe Carly or Harley!

I think the fact you have a normal surname actually makes the Bambi thing worse. I'm imagining:

Marlow makes me think of the fictional private investigator Philip Marlowe, so it doesn't sound very soft to me. The associations with crime and hard drinking give it a hard (and masculine) edge in my mind.

Cote I must be really hormonal! Bambi sounds great to me! I would love it. DH would never allow it. I might put it on my list though, because I enjoy the horrified looks MIL gives me when I tell her what I have come up with this week.

Biba/ Bibi could be a nickname for Sabina/Sabrina if you wanted a 'proper name' for the birth certificate.
