I heard Beatrice was going to be Elizabeth and The Queen said that was reserved for Charles and Dianna.

I heard The Queens ds Princess Margaret was to be Margaret Ann and that was Vetoed by the King who suggested Margaret Rose instead.

I just had a look on Wikipedia regarding Margaret Windsor Snowdon. It was Ann Margaret King George V vetoed in favour of the Alternative Margaret Rose.

Thinking about the Queen and the alleged veto a bit more.

The Queen strikes me as a very sensible and down-to-earth person. I bet if she doesn't think a name is suitable, there would be a sound reason for it. I think the parents would always take her advice.

Like the Annabel story. I can imagine her saying "Do you think that's a good idea, that name is always in the gossip columns, there might be jokes and cartoons about her ..." and Andy & Fergie thinking "HM is right, perhaps it might not be the best choice after all".

HM clearly had no issue with Zara, Savannah and Mia.

I agree I don't think Diana will be included. Her MN was Frances however.

Frances was Diana's mother's name, so in effect they'd be naming her after her great-grandmother.

I don't particularly like the name Diana, but I'm glad they included it.

I guessed two out of three, not bad, but I opted for Frances instead of Diana. Close though!

I got it right, but wrong order of the middle names.

Beautiful.

Charlotte ticks several boxes, but as Earl Spencer has a young Charlotte I thought they would go for something not already taken in the family.

Princess Caroline or Prince James.

Princess Catherine, known as Katie, so the press is more likely to refer to her mother as Catherine rather than Kate.

Otherwise Princess Victoria, Alice or Caroline.

Prince James, Louis or Philip.

I would be surprised if they used Caroline as it seems really similar to Charlotte. Plus having children with the same initial means they'll open each other's post.
