Does Sirius sound alright?

DS is due soon and still struggling with his name.
We like Jack and Sirius so thinking using both of them. Will it work?
Jack Sirius or Sirius Jack?

We also like David, Isaac and Charles.

We don't mind if there 2 or 3 middle names but we like Sirius in there if it doesn't work as a first. Oh, we have to get Jack in there as well.

PS. The surname is 2 syllables.
All thoughts welcomed.

Is this a Harry Potter tribute?

catwithflowers · 07/07/2014 22:20

Harry Potter. Sirius Black. Sorry Sad

Like the other names though

Panzee · 07/07/2014 22:20

You cannot be...

EbaneezerScrooge · 07/07/2014 22:21

Not at all. In fact, its from the star. Well we were thinking along those lines. Do you think its too Harry Pottery?

Ooh no don't like Sirius, however Jack is lovely Smile

plus3 · 07/07/2014 22:22

No.

catwithflowers · 07/07/2014 22:22

It was my first thought, I'm afraid. Charles Isaac Jack is nice though!

MelonCauliflower · 07/07/2014 22:23

I've just devoured 2 seasons of "scandal" in the last two weeks so I offer up Cyrus in the way of a contribution.

Also quite like Silas.

Chachah · 07/07/2014 22:23

if you're going to go for Sirius (which is lovely, but then I'm a Potter nerd), I suggest you go for Jack Sirius, because Sirius Jack sounds way too much like Sirius Black.

PolyesterBride · 07/07/2014 22:24

Definitely Harry pottery!

avocadogreen · 07/07/2014 22:24

cool middle name but too much teasing potential as a first name I think...

BiscuitMillionaire · 07/07/2014 22:26

Sirius = the dog star, the hound at the gates of the underworld

scotchtikidoll · 07/07/2014 22:26

Why so Sirius?

(Sorry)

Marcipex · 07/07/2014 22:28

Siriously?

ThedoublelifeofDollyBrown · 07/07/2014 22:29

Do you think its too Harry Pottery?

No, it's just too silly (and too similar to 'serious' as one or two posters have illustrated). Keep it as an interesting middle name and stick with Jack.

EbaneezerScrooge · 07/07/2014 22:29

Im getting it... maybe not a first name. Too much teasing. Might use it as a middle name though. Jack "something" Sirius.

Purplehonesty · 07/07/2014 22:29

Isaac jack yes. Sirius jack noooo.
Too Harry potter definitely

phoebeflangey · 07/07/2014 22:30

It'll be shortened to Siri?!!
How about Isaac Jack?

apermanentheadache · 07/07/2014 22:45

I have friends who used Sirius as a middle name. I quiteliked it and am not usually one for out there names.

Alisvolatpropiis · 07/07/2014 22:48

The Harry Potter thing isn't an issue.

That it sounds like serious is.

As a second middle name it is totally fine op Smile

Pregnantberry · 07/07/2014 22:58

I did think of Harry Potter first as well, but on the other hand, it is a nice name, HP will be quite dated by the time your DS is a teenager, and since Sirius Black is a secondary character it might not be quite as obvious to his peers as it is to everyone on here.

CarriMarie · 08/07/2014 01:03

Isaac Sirius Jack sounds good.

Pangaea · 08/07/2014 01:07

Cool middle name.

James Sirius has a nice ring to it.

As does Albus Severus.

BillnTedsMostFeministAdventure · 08/07/2014 01:15

Jack Robert Sirius Evans
Jack Michael Sirius Evans
Jack Charlie Sirius Evans

Any good?

(Evans was the first two syllable surname that popped into my head that wasn't Potter...)

Pangaea · 08/07/2014 01:27

Evans is Potter! Lily and Petunia Evans! Harry's mums maiden name!
