I love it and wondered what others thought?

I love Betty! I think Betty Grable rather than Hotpot Betty from Corrie!

The people who dislike it probably think all girls should be called Harriet.

Prefer Betsy but it's ok. I would not give it as a full name though. The one I know is really Beatrice.

I like it, think the Granny chic thing is becoming super popular.
DS has a friend Betty - 19months,
& my friend just had a Betty winter Grace a few weeks ago which I think is a gorgeous name.

Nar sorry doesnt do anything for me, i know these old names are quite trendy at moment but its not ne of the prettier names IMO

Yes if Elizabeth is full name then go for it love Betsy also, think you need to be clear about that being the actual nn though before people shorten it to some else liz,Beth etc

MerryBuddha · 21/12/2013 22:36

Love it!!!

If she was mine, Elizabeth would go on the birth certificate. But Betty is a lovely strong name on its own too.

Trickytreacle · 12/05/2014 23:45

Wondered if you ever chose Betty? I have a dd Betty and I love the name- suits her so much.

Mutteroo · 13/05/2014 00:19

Don't like it, prefer Beth or Betsy but if you love it then go for it!

devoncreamtea · 13/05/2014 11:13

FAB.

CitronVert · 13/05/2014 11:18

I must be very old as I can't think of the name Betty without it being preceded by 'hhmmmm' in a derpy Frank Spencer voice.

It is a sweet name though but prefer Betsy.

bowlers Ive just finished the same book! I thought the same at first but I really cam around to Betty.
