Have you considered Cassandra or Alexandra?

Rockinhippy · 04/11/2013 10:45

Everly is pretty & unusual too, so is my favourite -

not keen on any of the others TBH & yes I'm afraid some are sounding pretty "chavvy"

BobbyGentry · 04/11/2013 10:51

Everly reminds me of Evelyn, Evelyne, Eveline, Evylen, Eveleen (all good names)

MackerelOfFact · 04/11/2013 10:56

Not mad keen on any of those. Could live with Jasmine or Everly but think the latter will be a nightmare to spell.

If you like Talia, what about Nathalia, with Thalia as a NN?

In the same sort of vein as Harlow, Sienna and Jasmine - what about Willow?

lottiegarbanzo · 04/11/2013 11:01

Oh yes, Evelyn is a good name.

ouryve · 04/11/2013 11:06

I only like Ruby, out of that list (had a lovely great aunt Ruby - and an Evelyn!), but even that's tainted because the only Ruby I know is as hard as nails!

SpookedMackerel · 04/11/2013 11:12

Alexa is nice, Siena is Ok. The others are not really to my taste - Harlow in particular is awful, and also sounds like a boy's name, and Coco makes me think of Coco the clown and Coco pops. I would hate to be called Coco.

I do like Caeden, don't think it sounds chavvy at all, if anything I think it sounds sort of Mediaeval, Old English with the ae in it.

Beachballfamily · 04/11/2013 11:20

Everly, Jasmine an Alexa are fine, nice, middle ground names. The others do seem a bit out there/chavvy. Although I used to live in the US where I knew a number of posh Coco's, Siennas etc.

DanglingChillis · 04/11/2013 11:23

The nly one out of the list I like is Alexa, it's a suitable name for a grown up name, the others aren't.

Weeantwee · 04/11/2013 11:24

Everly is the best from that list. Congrats!

looki · 04/11/2013 11:36

I don't like any of them and would consider most (all) of them chavvy to be honest. If you like Thalia, what about Matilda nn Tilda?

TheNunsOfGavarone · 04/11/2013 11:38

NOT Harlow, for goodness sake. Not only is it the name of a rather unattractive town but also think "the T is silent, as in Harlow"...... don't go there!

bigbrick · 04/11/2013 11:39

Everly is nice - never heard of it before.

mummybare · 04/11/2013 11:41

I like Jasmine, Cassidy (with a 'C'), Alexa and Ruby.

TheNunsOfGavarone · 04/11/2013 11:46

OK, that was the knee jerk reaction to the first on your list, here's my equally subjective feedback on the rest.

Tia - not keen
Tianna - less keen
Talia - OK
Jasmine - OK
Cody - yuk
Kassidy - meh
Alexa (Lexi for short) - lovely
Sienna - OK
Everly - no
Halena - prefer Helena
Coco - poodle?
Honey - no! Simpering twerp in Gone with the Wind
Ruby - OK but a bit overdone
Taylor - yuk

MummyBeerest · 04/11/2013 11:46

I really like Jasmine and Ruby!

In Canada, neither of these names are hugely popular. I think Jasmine sounds exotic and Ruby is gently vintage.

Congratulations!

Alexandrite · 04/11/2013 12:30

Sienna

SeeYouNT · 04/11/2013 12:55

I'm afraid I think that they are all - to use your word - chavvy. Sorry but being honest.

Alexa would be the only one I could just about cope with Smile.

Congratulations btw!

Morgause · 04/11/2013 13:21

^^ this.

BrianWont · 04/11/2013 13:30

Oh OP. If you're worried about being 'chavvy' (you started it!) then why on earth don't you go for a safe name? Then there's no risk.

How about Bryony? Kind of falls mid way between wacko and trad.

Festered · 04/11/2013 13:36

This may or may not be worth saying but, I work in adult entertainment, and some strippers I know have the names Jasmine, Sienna, Honey, Coco, and Tianna!((More than one stripper for Jasmine, Honey and Coco. This may or may not affect your view lol.
Personally I love Honey and Tianna especially. Out of all of the names I like Cody the best and Talia the least (reminds me of 'genitalia' lol :)

But I also can see why you like most of them. Honey is a nice name and so is Tia :)

Anotherdayanotherdestiny123 · 04/11/2013 13:37

Talia - Gorgeous and not even slightly chavvy
Alexa - ok
Ruby - pretty

Not keen on the others.

Rhubarbgarden · 04/11/2013 13:43

Jasmine is pretty and I love Helena, but not with an 'a' for the first vowel. Willow is lovely too.
