PG with dd3. Due in three weeks. Honest opinions wanted!

Charlotte - Long term front runner, maybe going off now slightly

Naomi - Has been in the running with both dd1 and dd2 but always dismissed at the last minute.

Florence - I LOVE. dh is a bit meh. Not sure if it would be considered 'weird' in our local area where made up names seem prevalent and old fashioned names not so much.

Elsa - New front runner. Discovered this the other day. Dh loves. I really like. But dd1 has a 3 letter first name also beginning with an E (think Adams wife with an A) so could be a problem?

All the names I lovely, I like Charlotte best

iheartshoes · 25/10/2013 10:15

All pretty but I really love Charlotte

squoosh · 25/10/2013 10:45

Elsa.

The others are ok but nothing special.

DSJamesHathaway · 25/10/2013 10:46

Florence is my favourite but they're all nice

riskit4abiskit · 25/10/2013 11:30

I like them all, Charlotte has more potential for varied nicknames and is timeless.

TheNumberfaker · 25/10/2013 11:33

All fine and lovely. Florence would probably pass yhe Katie Hopkins test as it's Firenze in Italian Wink

brightnearly · 25/10/2013 11:46

I like them all, particularly Naomi!

comeandgo · 25/10/2013 12:13

Glad most of you like them all but no consensus!

An unsubtle bump for more opinions!

I like Charlotte the best.

Elsa is lovely too though I think it would clash with your other DD's name.
Naomi is ok.
Dislike Florence.

JoJoManon · 25/10/2013 13:18

Florence
Charlotte
Elsa
Naomi

in that order

Purplerain80 · 25/10/2013 13:21

Love Charlotte and the nn too, Naomi also love but a bit meh on the others,if that helps :)

peanutMD · 25/10/2013 13:26

I'm not keen on any of them tbh.

Charlotte is massively popular in my area.
Naomi is a bit meh.
Florence just sounds pretentious and poncy.
Elsa is old fashioned.

If i had to choose one it'd be Naomi byt of course its not up to me and go by your instinct and pick the nane you love :)

Grumblelion · 25/10/2013 13:33

In order of preference
Naomi
Charlotte
Elsa - think it is possibly a bit too similar to your other DDFlorence - just not keen sorry

jemimastar · 25/10/2013 15:11

Elsa is stunning- different, quirky, feminine.

Charlotte is pretty standard and very over used now IMO.

NotYoMomma · 25/10/2013 16:01

I think Florence is very 2000/201X and will date sorry

Charlotte I love

CordeliaRose · 25/10/2013 16:17

My favourite from your list is Naomi: I love it. I've only met one: she is in her twenties, and gorgeous Smile

Charlotte was on our list if DS had been a girl. Still like it but not as much now!

Florence is nice, but I prefer Flora.

I agree that Elsa is too close to your other DD's name.

comeandgo · 25/10/2013 16:31

Its a shame about Elsa being too much like dd1's.

We have a PITA surname which has ruled out a lot of names so finding another girls name we both love and will be usable with our surname is ao difficult.

Elsa fitted all the criteria until I realised the problem with dd1's name Sad

UriGHOULer · 25/10/2013 16:37

So you'll potentially have E*e, Elsa and....?

I think the two E names sound great together and the only problem is if your other dd has a big long flowery name that won't fit. Even then it probably won't bother her.

I say go for Elsa. It's gorgeous.

comeandgo · 25/10/2013 16:40

For dd3 think '.. of the d'ubrrvilles'

comeandgo · 25/10/2013 16:41

They are all nice except Florence. My favourite is Elsa, but I can see possibly it might cause confusion with your other DD's name. Or maybe not.

Naomi is a lovely name, a classic but also quite unusual at the moment.
