Hi all,

I'm 30 weeks pregnant & my partner is Moroccan & he wants our baby girl to have a Moroccan or Muslim name, which is fine but the couple of names he has come up with I do not like, I really want to like one he chooses but it's too much of an important decision to agree to one I don't like, I have a few that I have looked up & written down to show him that I like but wonder if anyone could help me come up with some more as i am only getting them off of internet searches as i don't know many names from this origin myself. I would like something fairly unusual (in this country at least), feminine & pretty, possibly with a nice meaning & something that can't easily be shortened to something silly!

Thank you xxx

I think Layla is Arabic isn't it? That's really pretty and can't be shortened.

Amira

^ these are names I like of girls/women from Muslim backgrounds. Not sure if they fit the Moroccan criteria but maybe ask your partner.

Sorry none of the ones I listed above are unusual!

Maybe ask him to look into his family tree for some family names maybe.
