Sounds like rennet. So. No.

iklboo · 07/09/2012 17:35

Isn't Jennet a small type of horse?

None of my business if it is as long as you like the name though.

lakeofshiningwaters · 07/09/2012 17:36

I really like Jennet - have a memory that it's the name of character in a really good book. Might come to me!

Scarlett - nice but lots around
Rainbow & Kimber - don't like.

TheMightyMojoceratops · 07/09/2012 17:36

A jennet is a female donkey. Jeanette?

knittedslippersx3 · 07/09/2012 17:36

Love Rainbow, Scarlett and Kimber.

How do you pronounce Jennet? If it's Jen-net, it sounds a bit harsh and blunt to me.

Hyaline · 07/09/2012 17:37

No, it's like a strange version of Jennette which sounds very dated and not in a cool way.

EvilTwins · 07/09/2012 17:37

Woman in Black. Jennet Humphrye. Crazy mad scary ghost lady.

TeaBrick · 07/09/2012 17:38

I also thought of rennet

nosepeg · 07/09/2012 17:39

I came across Jennet reading mediaeval texts in my history degree! Witch trials I think... but I just really like it Grin

Jennet? Thought of rennet as well.

All your name choices sound like those flower fairy books

Hullygully · 07/09/2012 17:42

Have you considered Pennetta?

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 07/09/2012 17:43

There are quite a few Jennets in the Scots branch of my family, it seems to have been really popular in 17th and 18th century Midlothian.

Floggingmolly · 07/09/2012 17:45

A jennet is a type of horse... Would you be happy to call her Labrador?

snigger · 07/09/2012 17:45

I agree, too many shades of Cold Comfort Farm for me.

She'd be fossicking and scratling before you knew where you were.

nosepeg · 07/09/2012 17:47

Jennet really is a girls' name though - Labrador isn't

OP posts:
Hullygully · 07/09/2012 17:49

What about Labra-mae? Very pop round our way.

numbertaker · 07/09/2012 17:49

Rainbow...really.

Jennet is the best out of that batch but sounds like a mispelled Janet.

AvonCallingBarksdale · 07/09/2012 17:53

Don't like any of them - don't saddle her with Rainbow!! Scarlet is the best IMO (you did say be blunt Smile)

Clawdy · 07/09/2012 17:57

People may think you're saying Janet in a posh voice....Smile

lisaro · 07/09/2012 17:59

All bloody awful.

Heebiejeebie · 07/09/2012 17:59

Back to the drawing board.

IawnCont · 07/09/2012 18:05

I have a Jennet in my family tree. So yes. :)
Hate Rainbow, but Enfys is nice- Welsh for rainbow, and it's an actual name.
Scarlett nice.
Kimber is horrible.

jaggythistle · 07/09/2012 18:06

rennet or badly spelled Jeanette. sorry.

nosepeg · 07/09/2012 18:08

rofl, I said blunt, not cunt!

Many thanks for the refreshing honesty. I guess Rainbow is going a bit farGrin
