Your fifth son?! Wow, congratulations. I like Ned (Edward) the best. Or how about Quentin/Quin which means 5th in Latin?

Badgerina · 08/06/2012 23:33

What are the others called?

I like Edward (Ned), or Arthur. Quinn would be an awesome middle name Grin

BorisTheBold · 08/06/2012 23:34

Nitkeenon any tbh, but Sonny at a push. Congratulations!

StepOutOfSpring · 08/06/2012 23:55

Arthur

PercyFilth · 09/06/2012 09:09

Arthur.
Or Edward - but not just Ned.
Sonny is a ridiculous name for a grown man.

seeker · 09/06/2012 09:11

Sonny is a ridiculous name for an adult.

Edward nn Ned is wonderful.

mollymole · 09/06/2012 09:15

Aurthur or Edward BUT NO to Sonny - as suggested above Quinn as a 2nd name sounds good with both these first names.

VivaLeBeaver · 09/06/2012 09:33

Ned

ripsishere · 09/06/2012 09:35

Ned here too. Sonny is a ridiculous name for anyone, child or adult.

Wildwaterfalls · 09/06/2012 13:52

Really like Arthur!

NappiesandGladrags · 09/06/2012 14:51

Ooh wait until you meet him!

I think they are all very different names and would suit very different people...how exciting and congrats on your 5th! :-) x

4boyzmum · 09/06/2012 18:05

ooh, suprised sonny not more popular!? love edward as a name but dh not at all keen so ned is a compromise. other ds's names are louis, george, oscar and seth. think all 3 possible names go with these?

Ned or Sonny

Hate Arthur as a childs name

smokeandglitter · 09/06/2012 18:13

Ned or Sonny.

I love both names. I think they'll sound lovely at any age. Smile

BalloonSlayer · 09/06/2012 18:19

I really love Ned as short for Edward. Didn't have it for DS2 as DH said "If we're going to call him Ned his name should be Ned, not Edward." We couldn't agree so ended up with something else.

However. Since then, I have found out about the insulting term "Ned" commonly used in Scotland to describe a sort of useless young person. It stands for Non Educated Delinquent, I think. So I am kind of glad I didn't get my way.

WithACherryOnTop · 09/06/2012 18:33

I don't like any of them, but Arthur is better than the other two.
Ned is awful.Ugly and best reserved for a carthorse. And here it'd be the equivalent of calling a child thug or chav. Plus it definitely doesn't go with your other boys' names.

Sonny is fine as a nickname, but ridiculous as a first name.

Arthur works well at any age.

lovechoc · 09/06/2012 18:48

Arthur is fab, congrats on having five sons soon!! You are so lucky!!! Grin

Eglu · 09/06/2012 18:51

Arthur is the nicest. Adore Seth btw, great name. And congrats on boy 5

seabuckthorn · 09/06/2012 18:54

Ned! Hope you have a safe delivery

Selks · 09/06/2012 18:55

Arthur.

MrsMuddyPuddles · 09/06/2012 18:57

Wait til he's born, and pick the name in the delivery suite? Or let the other 4 decide :o

CJfromTheWestWing · 09/06/2012 19:02

Seth is wonderful.

MarySA · 09/06/2012 20:00

Ned is really silly. Can't believe it could be a name for a child. Don't like Sonny very much. Arthur is Ok but I wouldn't choose it.

PercyFilth · 09/06/2012 20:04

Ned is a donkey.

If you're going for this he must be named Edward so that he has somewhere else to go. Something similar happened to me "If we're going to call her X her name should be X, not Xxxxxx." It is very selfish to deprive a child of options in this way.

lou4791 · 09/06/2012 20:19

I love the names of your other sons.
Arthur is a great name and goes really well with the others.
