Something I never thought I would be saying - can you help us name our triplets?

Although I'm 28 weeks gone, I still can't believe this is happening. On our second course of IVF DH and I managed to concieve and we are expecting triplets! We are absolutely over the moon and are still praying for a safe pregnancy. We've found out that it will be two boys and a girl we are having so we need names! I like strong, classic names with good nickname potential for boys and a really pretty, feminine name for a girl.

So far we've briefly cobbled together the names Esther, Juliet and Hope for our DD and Rupert, Alfred, George and Stanley as possibilities for our DSs. Would you be able to help us expand our list?

Please give them different first initials..it seems cute when they are small but is a right pain when they are older and receiving their own mail!

Oooh, stick with Juliet, it's lovely.

Boys name possibilities - Samuel, Alexander, Daniel, Jake, Oliver, Henry, Gabriel... some might be too common for you though

FatimaLovesBread · 02/03/2012 22:45

Ooh congratulations! I also love the name Juliet

Can I just ask, how many embryos did you have replaced? (fellower IVFer awaiting ET)

BoysBoysBoysAndMe · 02/03/2012 22:46

CONGRATULATIONS! That's amazing.

Juliet is lovely.

And Alfred I like as you can shorten it to Alfie.

We have an Alfie James and a jack James. If our next is a boy going to call him Oliver probably and willow for a girl.

Wishing you the best of luck ! X

spiderlight · 02/03/2012 22:48

Rod, Jane and Freddie? ;)

Congratulations!

gentlydownthestream · 02/03/2012 22:53

Aha! I didn't read it properly - just looked at the names!

In that case, Esther, Rupert and something else.
Esther, Rupert and Benedict
Esther, Rupert and Samuel
Esther, Rupert and Wilfred
Esther, Rupert and Hector
Esther, Rupert and Horace

TidyDancer · 02/03/2012 23:11

Oh wow, congratulations!

I like George and Hope from your list. I'm guessing you're a fan of 'classic' names....so what about Thomas, Patrick, Edward or James for boys? And maybe Alice, Lauren, Elizabeth or Harriet for girls?

I'm not usually very good at this, had a nightmare settling on names when DP and I were choosing, but I love all of those.

FilterCoffee · 02/03/2012 23:20

You've thought of some lovely names already OP, I'd go with your first instincts and use the choices in your first post. Only one I don't really like is Stanley but the others are all fine and would work in any combination.

TheOutlawLauraPalmer · 02/03/2012 23:23

Alfred, George and Juliet.

(congrats x3!)

NormanTheDourDoorman · 02/03/2012 23:27

I would go for Juliet, Gabriel and Alexander.

saffronwblue · 02/03/2012 23:40

Wow, congratulations!
I think
Esther, Alfred and George. My nephew is George, nicknamed Geo. Juliet is also gorgeous.
Don't forget names like David, Peter and Jonathon when you are looking for strong classic names that aren't overdone. Simon is lovely too.

Faith, Hope and Kevin? Grin

On a more serious note, maybe Dorothy, Christopher and Samuel or Florence, George and Henry?

Casmama · 02/03/2012 23:47

Love Juliet, not so enthusiastic about your boys names tbh but congratulations - how exciting to be having 3 babies! BTW love all of lockets boys names so I would go with two of those. Hope the rest of the pregnancy goes well.
