Calling all teachers...which names would you NOT choose as a result of teaching brats over the years?

Just curious really as after DS was born (named Sam) teacher friends of ours commented that they'd only ever taught "nice Sams".

I was just interested to know (now that we are choosing a name for DC2!) if there are specific first names that you know spell trouble....

Ollie as there were loads and most of them annoying, James - again loads of them. We also had lots of Mia, Mayah, Maia's I ended up choosing an unusal name that I had only heard once. A lovely child I taught had an older sibling with this name so it reminds me of a nice family and is unlikly to have another in their class. I would also stay away from Disney names and Celebrity names like Paris and Hilton (bro and sis), Chantelle, Channelle (but was spelt Shanew Shock Princess Shock and Lebowski as in The Big...

MyPetMonsterAndMe · 29/08/2011 02:18

Liam - Never taught one (and have taught 10+) who wasn't an utter horror

Connor - Too bad really because I love the name

Those are the main two because I've never taught a nice one of either name, there are many, many names that I associate with lovely kids though.

nailak · 29/08/2011 04:15
