What are your most favorite names ever?!

So now that we have covered which names set your teeth on edge, which ones do you find to be utterly delightful? (And just like last time, if you don't mind, which continent/country do you hail from? :) )

My personal style is so eclectic, I couldn't even begin to describe it!! I do tend to love the more frilly names for girls, like Isabelle and Genevieve, and solid names like Josiah and Nicholas for boys. (North America)

Once again, my goal here is for this to be fun and informative... Grin If someone happens to mention a name that you personally find detestable, PLEASE do not mention that here... That is what the other thread was for! I would love for us all to have fun and just enjoy our differences! ;)

Soo looking forward to hearing your favorites! Here's a toast to each of us and our own unique individuality!! Wine

I love classic names like Elizabeth, Anna, Isabella, Clara, Grace and Edward, William, James, Jonathan. But I love it when they have cute nicknames like Teddy, Beth, Gracie, etc.

I love Giselle, Isabella, Gabriella and Jasmine for girls. (Also love the sound of Jezebel!) I only really love one boys name and that is Hugo. If I ever have a ds he will be Hugo. Smile

my favourite girl's names are Artemis, Imogen, Inken, Paloma, Alexa, Isla, Ingrid... i like 'i' names apparently!

favourite boy's name is angus, determined to have it if we have a DS! also aiden, gabriel, tobias, sebastian.

DP and i have completely different taste in names, i like something a little unusual/uncommon. if it's in the top 10 names, i can guarantee DP will like it

wombatinwaiting · 05/05/2011 10:48

razzlebathbone - that's my surname!

DivineInspiration · 05/05/2011 10:56

Ramona, Ava, Vivien, Carmen, Carlotta,
Vincent, Magnus, Judah, Jude, Raphael, Horatio.

Are my current faves.

They just look good and sound good to me. I don't like frill or faff or try-hard, though nor am I keen on very traditional. They'd age well, wouldn't overwhelm a toddler or seem infantile on an adult, can't reall be mispronounced.

DP and I agree on Carmen and Jude only.

There are also a few names I have a fondness for, but wouldn't use for various reasons: like Heathcliff, DiAngelo, Aaliyah, Ahava.
