So now that we have covered which names set your teeth on edge, which ones do you find to be utterly delightful? (And just like last time, if you don't mind, which continent/country do you hail from? :) )

My personal style is so eclectic, I couldn't even begin to describe it!! I do tend to love the more frilly names for girls, like Isabelle and Genevieve, and solid names like Josiah and Nicholas for boys. (North America)

Once again, my goal here is for this to be fun and informative... Grin If someone happens to mention a name that you personally find detestable, PLEASE do not mention that here... That is what the other thread was for! I would love for us all to have fun and just enjoy our differences! ;)

Soo looking forward to hearing your favorites! Here's a toast to each of us and our own unique individuality!! Wine

Oh and forgot to say, I live in England but my parents hail from the Middle East and Scotland.

birchykel Alice is beautiful! Envy that it's the one you keep coming back to, and it has a meaningful family connection for you. I was so torn when naming dd between the name I loved best and the name that meant the most to me. She ended up with the latter.

donkeyswife - I chose my ds's name on that basis also. DP and myself both have unusual spelling for our names and we're forever spelling them on the phone - it's annoying most of the time.

Boys: Fergus, Benedict, Samuel, Daniel, William, Xavier, Alexander, Rory
Girls: Isla, Eloise, Louise, Evangeline, Eve, Ivy, Anna

I really wanted to call ds Fergus but that was completely vetoed by DP as he's a Man City fan and just would not back down :(

Elinor? Eleanor? Never seen Elenoir - I'd pronounce that Elen-wah! Grin

Littlepurpleprincess · 06/05/2011 09:31

lol! Eleanor looks right.

mamalovebird · 06/05/2011 10:04

Or Eleonore - it's my middle name. French spelling though.

Donkeyswife · 06/05/2011 10:50

mamalovebird - totally with you, the easier the better. Love your choice of names btw.

I also really like Dylan for a boy and Delilah for a girl but I called my cats those names long before ds came along, so that was that.
