I know a Beau. He's the most beautiful boy in the world. DD is going to marry him.

mollymole · 05/04/2011 10:21

WHAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -- WHY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sparklingsky · 05/04/2011 10:23

OK - Thunder = kids speak for farting (thunder pants)

Lightening - is about as try hard as you can get. Other than maybe Zeus - no, more so. (Sorry)

Go with Taima (but it sounds female) - Bryn is your best yet.

JuicyOlive · 05/04/2011 10:23

"I have vetoed Skeet, skip and Alice and cooper" - cackling with laughter at that one.

Re: Beau - I remember a previous thread on that name and several American MNers said that it was associated with Southern rednecks.

Fimbo · 05/04/2011 10:24

Kit?
Patrick shortened to Patch?

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 10:40

Nope

Patch Goodwin = Dog.

I think Beau Jensen sounds better.

MooMooFarm · 05/04/2011 10:45

Noooooooooooo... to Beau or Jensen in any formation.....

Bryn is lovely, but only if you have Welsh connections otherwise it just sounds twee (think you said you do have...).

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 10:46

Aaron and Beau

Sounds like Bow and Arrow!

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 10:49

OP posts:
Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 10:52

Um now i need a middle name to go with Bryn.

OP posts:
MooMooFarm · 05/04/2011 10:58

Bryn Francis? Didn't you mention Francis somewhere?

pinkhebe · 05/04/2011 11:01

I think Bryn is a lovely name

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 11:05

Bryn Francis sounds ok. But i'm worried i would spell it wrong alot.

I guess i will have to practice it abit.

I think its ok.

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 11:06

BFG?

big friendly giant!

caramelwaffle · 05/04/2011 11:07

Yes to Bryn.

No to everything else.

Beau and Aaron (bow and arrow - Love. It Grin )

serendipity16 · 05/04/2011 11:23

My son is a Jensen so obviously i love the name.
One of his middle names is George & i think they work well together & could be used either way.

I think you just have to go with the name that you & your partner love & don't worry about what others think or say.

I think with any name you'll find someone somewhere who doesn't like it & will have some kind of opinion on it.

MrsEricBana · 05/04/2011 11:30

Love this thread Grin - another yes for Bryn.

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 11:40

I have just txt DH saying Bryn is ok but what to put with it.

He txt back: Gretzky Bryn or Wayne Bryn or Bryn Wayne Sad

Yuk to all.

MmeLindt · 05/04/2011 11:44

Snowdropfairy
Your DH is making me LAUGH lots today.

Snowdropfairy · 05/04/2011 11:53

May be he is just taking the piss out of me and will come up with a nice name in 8 months time Hmm

But he is staying it with a straight face and when i ask is he joking he acts hurt Hmm

But this is the man that wears yellow hockey kit and has silver trainers and ice hockey shirts on the living room wall Confused

OP posts:
KBlatherskite · 05/04/2011 12:46

Wayne is awful!

and Gretzky? Shock

EauRouge · 05/04/2011 12:50

PMSL that he wants to name a child after Wayne Gretzky. Grin I am married to a hockey nut too so I sympathise, but he never suggested Gretzky as a first name. At least not for a human.

ShowOfHands · 05/04/2011 13:02

Bryn The Great One Goodwin.

Nice.

DELHI · 05/04/2011 14:08

Jensen Beau just sounds like you're trying too hard to be 'different'. So do Chayton (?) and Maui(? part of Hawaii, no?). Troy is very '70's to me. Conway I just don't get at all. Back to the drawing board I suggest.
