Dh likes Susan, we have whittled down our long girls list to 10 or 12 now, but this is his favourite, and the only one he has suggested himself.

So what do we think of Susan? Definately not Susannah, just Susan.

My name is Susan and I love it! My hubby calls me Suze, and some friends Suzy. I think Suzy / Suzie would be very cute for a little one. I even thought about it for my DD but thought it would confuse everyone! Good luck

I think it's great. A classic that will stand the test of time. She also won't have five others in class with the same name.

I knew a Susan in my generation (29), lovely girl but ai did think it an odd name for our age (many my mum's generation, 60, mostly nn Sue).

Now it makes me think about Big Sus from Peep Show!!

But I like Suzie and if you love Susan then fab.

Oh yeah, my friend Susan does go by Suze! That's a great nn for Susan; not twee like Susie and not middle aged like Sue. :)

I think Susan is a nice name but my SIL is called Susan and dislikes it. A friend of mine at school changed her name from Susan to her middle name when she went to university ? How about Sarah?

I like Susan a lot, would definitely choose it over Susannah or other variants. Both Sue and Susie are good nicknames (in fact the Susan I know uses both of those and her full name depending on circs).
