Found 'the one' - and it's not Beauden [grin]

Hi everyone,

Well, after a few days of constant name games, me and dh are sorted. Thanks to everyone's help we have decided not to go with Beauden after the BAD reaction on here. Or Indigo or Lyric or Soren. Lots of you still will hate our choices but I think you know when you have decided because you don't care less anymore what others think (in a nice way).

Soooo. our final choices are:

Girl: Sonnet Melody
Boy: Winter Beau Alexander.

See, I still have my Beau in there Grin.

I think these fit in really well with our other dc. The only big problem is that we have an Autumn so it may well sound contrived. But they aren't going to be joined at the hip and will have their own identities.

One last favour!!!

Can anyone suggest a nice third name to go with Sonnet Melody? (Our other three have all got two middle names so I want to do the same).

Was thinking perhaps:

Sonnet Melody Grace
Sonnet Melody Eve
Sonnet Melody Erin

Want a classic name she can fall back on if she hates her other two names.

Anyway, thank you for all your help. I think I can almost leave these boards in peace now Grin

It just had to be a boy after all the debate! This thread has been such fun. How wonderful that the birth went so well. Wishing you all the very best x

Congratulations Arizona and Skyler! Grin Enjoy this special time together.

JustKeepSparkling · 10/11/2010 06:20

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Grin

Had to search for this thread thinking you must have popped by now. So so pleased you managed a safe birth, and extra well done on VBA3C :)

arizonagirl · 10/11/2010 16:48

Thank you all so much for the wonderful messages. Still on a massive high and loving every second. Little Skyler is gorgeous and contented - just sleeping and feeding at the moment but I know that doesn't last.

Loving our choice of name and family are accepting it well (although my dad insists it is a girl's name). Really suits him though and no doubt he will be nicknamed Sky.

Thank you for making the last few weeks so enjoyable and fun. Will be printing this thread out for our little man to laugh over when he is older and asks why we chose his name and what other names did we consider Grin.

Will post again in a couple of days - just to let you know if Skyler has turned into a Beauden Grin

Would it be too much to ask if you can post a photo of him on your profile and make it public, then we can all tell you how much Skyler suits him?

chalat · 11/11/2010 21:51

Congratulations, Arizonagirl Smile - so relieved and delighted to hear your news, well done you for a VBAC, particularly after three of them!!
Fantastic name, welcome to the world Skyler - you are responsible for one of the most memorable threads on Mumsnet and you have only just arrived, lol!

Bagpusstree · 12/11/2010 13:57

Yes I'd like to know when he's officially registered, just in case 'Beauden' slips out deliberately by accident Wink

euracantha · 12/11/2010 16:01

I haven1t posted on this thread but I know several people who have been following your thread,Congratulations on the safe arrival of Skyler Beau Alexander.

arizonagirl · 18/11/2010 11:17

Morning!!! Sorry I have been rubbish and haven't posted for so long. Been rather crazy trying to get into some kind of normality.

Life is great and little Skyler Grin Grin is absolutely beautiful. We haven't registered him yet but I am loving his name - thanks to you lot!!!!!!

I did start wondering whether to change Alexander to give him a name to reflect how we made it through and I ended up with a vba3c. But I couldn't really think of anything - Victor came into my mind straight after he was born but I still like Alexander as a name better.

I was going to put on a photo but I don't know how to do it. You mumsnetters are obviously more pro at this than me Wink.

Right, off for now. Thank you for everything and for helping me choose a name I love and which suits my little one beautifully.

Might see some of you on the childbirth threads where my attention seems to have wandered lately. xx

Lovely lovely to hear from you. To post a photo you go to My Mumsnet at the top of the page and put one in your profile (after making it public. Or you could scan one onto imageshack and post the link here.

Glad you stuck with Alexander. It goes nocely with the other names.
