Found 'the one' - and it's not Beauden [grin]

Hi everyone,

Well, after a few days of constant name games, me and dh are sorted. Thanks to everyone's help we have decided not to go with Beauden after the BAD reaction on here. Or Indigo or Lyric or Soren. Lots of you still will hate our choices but I think you know when you have decided because you don't care less anymore what others think (in a nice way).

Soooo. our final choices are:

Girl: Sonnet Melody
Boy: Winter Beau Alexander.

See, I still have my Beau in there Grin.

I think these fit in really well with our other dc. The only big problem is that we have an Autumn so it may well sound contrived. But they aren't going to be joined at the hip and will have their own identities.

One last favour!!!

Can anyone suggest a nice third name to go with Sonnet Melody? (Our other three have all got two middle names so I want to do the same).

Was thinking perhaps:

Sonnet Melody Grace
Sonnet Melody Eve
Sonnet Melody Erin

Want a classic name she can fall back on if she hates her other two names.

Anyway, thank you for all your help. I think I can almost leave these boards in peace now Grin

I think Phoenix is nice. I have a friend who lives in AZ and the boy name she had picked out during her pregnancy was Phoenix. (She ended up having a DD named Clover.)

I like Sage too.

BonzoDooDah · 04/11/2010 10:26

Hey Arizona - how are you? Surely this baby is here now? I really hope you are all okay.

A1980 · 04/11/2010 10:30

I can't help thinking of Sonic the Hedgehog when I think of Sonnet as a name.

But whatever floats your boat.

DanceInTheDark · 04/11/2010 10:39

Just Skyler Beau

And Sonnet Melody still feels wrong (little song, song)

How are things anyway? Aren't you about 2 months over due now?

HippyHippopotamus · 04/11/2010 10:58

I've just read most of this thread and out of pure nosiness I'm marking my place to find out what you call your little bundle Smile

thumbwheel · 04/11/2010 11:18

A melody isn't a song! it's a tune. You have the melody (tune) and lyrics (words) to make a song.

MummysLittleSunbeams · 04/11/2010 18:28

come on Arizonagirl! I thought we were due around the same time & my dd2 is now three weeks old! Smile She is called Kitty Violet if anyone is interested! Grin

arizonagirl · 04/11/2010 22:25

Hi all, no, I am still waiting!!!! Baby is now nine days late. Got an appointment tomorrow and a sweep planned for Monday. If no news by next week I will have to have the elective section which is going to be risky. Really fed up and just want baby out safely. To think I thought I was in a race against time with names.

MummysLittleSunbeams - congratulations - hope you are enjoying those magical first few weeks. Love the name - have just met my first other Kitty - she is a cutie.

Will keep you all posted. Maybe tonight...

Fingers crossed for you Arizona that you go soon to avoid section. And "they" say subsequent babies arrive sooner!!

Hopefully though this thread has taken your mind off worrying about your birth. I'm sure all will be fine!

Not that choosing a name isn't an important issue but I suppose when you are faced with a risky birth then it isn't really in the grand scheme! I'd call my child Mickey Mouse if I could guarantee a safe arrival if we choose to have a 3rd! Grin

Anyway, I waffle! Hope all goes well xx

arizonagirl · 04/11/2010 23:48

Thanks lola010. Somehow I suspect you will be having a 3rd ; )

I am a little bit calmer about the birth but suspect it is the anxiety that has put things off this long. Trying to relax but it is difficult when you know a dangerous operation might be right around the corner. Kind of makes you try and deter any potential contractions. Anyhows, thanks, and will keep you posted. Will let you know as soon as I can that Mickey Mouse is here, safe and well Grin.

Actually, hmmmm - Mickey Mouse.....

Mickey Beauden Mouse.....
Mickey Skyler Mouse....

What do you reckon.....

jojosmaman · 05/11/2010 13:21

Bumperlicious · 06/11/2010 13:49

Waiting to hear the result :)

MummysLittleSunbeams · 06/11/2010 22:09

arizonagirl · 06/11/2010 23:18

Will keep you posted Grin and let you know when Jack or Jill is here Wink

LadyCad · 06/11/2010 23:27

Look, I'm really sorry but I haven't been around for ages and this is a veeery long thread but I just have to ask; were you really planning to call your child Beauden?

lola0109 · 07/11/2010 09:07

Arizona, i tried everything, and i mean EVERYTHING! In the end my sis was coming to stay so was about to blow up her bed when i decided to do it. 45 mins later contractions started!:)

just a thought!

skippingturtle · 07/11/2010 09:13

Mr arizona, it's time to step up.

arizonagirl · 07/11/2010 09:19

Mr Arizona????? NO wonder it's not happening Wink Wink. I am trying everything now!!! Had contractions last night every ten minutes and then fell asleep, woke up eight hours later. LadyCad - yes, I loved Beauden, still like it - but thanks to all the wonderful mumsnetters we have a great name which I love far more Grin Grin

Sorry, that was a rather indelicate reference to an, erm, activity that might help things along a bit. That your DH could help you with. If you see what I mean.

Guacamole · 07/11/2010 10:03

Ooooh I thought about you at about 3am when I was feeding my DS... It suddenly popped into my head 'I wonder if Beauden's been born yet?'.

LadyCad · 07/11/2010 12:48

Well, now there's a thing.

I guess it does have a nice ring to it but you really cannot get away from the Johnny business, can you?

Anyway, this has obviously been done to death and back again during my long absence.I shall be watching this thread for good news. Smile
