Indigo Sky

Ok ok - you win, Beauden is out. But now I really need your help - baby due any day now.

How about Indigo Sky for a boy? Any better?

I like some of the suggestions but nothing really appeals.

I like soft sounding nature names like:

Aspen (too much potential for teasing)
Cypress (too much like Cyprus)

Can't have Forest or River or Winter which I like.

So, I have listened to everyone but now I have no name. And baby might be born any time.

Help.

Oh yes! I am!

That's a nice name too.

I prefer Fluffy Bunnyslippers for the true 100% Native American Wimptastic vibe.

Indigo Sky is only 95% there.

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 17:41

I suppose he could be Indy for short.

I know a guy called Indigo Poole.

blametheparents · 01/10/2010 17:43

Would def make me think of the phrase 'indigo child'
Wouldn't go for it myself

belgo · 01/10/2010 17:44

I really thought it was girls's name!

Why not just Beau? Or Beaumont?

belgo · 01/10/2010 17:45

What about Indiana?

BalloonSlayer · 01/10/2010 17:49

I think hardly anyone knows the term "indigo child."

I think I might keep thinking he was called Inigo. Which is a proper name (Inigo Jones).

ValiumSingleton · 01/10/2010 17:53

Indigo is a bit try hard, and sounds like a boy if you're guessing the sex.

I do quite like Skye with an e though.

pearlsandtwinset · 01/10/2010 18:00

A cousin of mine called her daughter Indigo Skye.

TotorosOcarina · 01/10/2010 18:03

Indiana is nicer.

redrobin · 01/10/2010 18:04

god, bring back derek and keith.

glastochick · 01/10/2010 18:05

I like it, but then I'm a fan of 'unusual' names and as a result DS has an unusual name.

What about Brishen? Am sure some on MN will think it sounds like a type of bread but it means 'born in a rainstorm' which I think is lovely.

redrobin · 01/10/2010 18:07

in which language, glasto?

insertexpletive · 01/10/2010 18:08

What about Purple Rain?

colditz · 01/10/2010 18:09

Don't be silly, he will get the living shit kicked out of him at school if you call him Indigo Sky. It sounds like a trashy sex novel, or a film about "A young woman's coming of age, set against a backdrop of war torn Lithuania"

What about Ben? or Tom? Or James?

basically, any of the male trains on Thomas The Tank Engine.

There's a tank engine called Ben? Clearly I have not watched Thomas for too long.

insertexpletive...brilliant, instead of a name, she could just call him a symbol.

Spruce

Skyrg · 01/10/2010 18:16

Gosh, there is a Ben on Thomas the Tank!
Also a Buster, Butch, Proteus and Duck though. Perhaps not the best names list colditz? :)

OP, what about a star, Sirius? Hm, maybe too Harry Potter...

pinkthechaffinch · 01/10/2010 18:16

Idaho is pretty cool, isn't it OP?

Sounds a bit like Indigo, but more masculine, and, dare I say it, more unusual.

Go on, OP, choose it, and let us know when you have Smile

PatriciaHolm · 01/10/2010 18:21

Confused about hoe you can think Aspen has too much potential for teasing but are considering Indigo Sky?!

How about Finn, Aldous, or Ewan?
