I do these on other sites I am on (babywearer, craftster) and they are always loads of fun.
If you don't know what I mean it works like this.
Group of us submit likes/dislikes/ kids ages etc
You each get a giftee chosen who you make a secret gift for, either for them, or the DC's or the home using whatever crafty skills you have.
Everyone recieves a anonymous hand crafted gift in the post and gets that warm fuzzy feeling.

If you like the idea then sign up here and I shall sort a yahoo group or something.

Oh, and don't worry if you are new to crafting, My first year I sent a crocheted hat to someone, it took me a couple of days even though it was dead easy, but she loved it, it's the thought, not the skill!

Jack, just emailed you my photo - hope it's the right size

tattycoram · 03/11/2009 19:05

I got home this evening to my package. It's a mat with a pumpkin on it - rather in the style of SCPs .

It's gorgeous - my nearly three year old DS insisted on putting it under his plate and I had to whip it out before he got food all over it.

It's completely fantastic - I wish I could sew like that. Thank you thank you! I'll send a photo to Jack asap.

I forgot to take my pictures this morning before DP took the computer adaptor thingy () to work with him, so I'll have to email tomorrow when he gets home. Sorry guys, my head's destroyed atm.

JackBauerBlowsShitUp · 04/11/2009 08:32

Char, there is no huge rush, if it's a crappy time then send them on when you can.

JackBauerBlowsShitUp · 05/11/2009 19:21

Anyone else had any parcels?

JackBauer · 07/11/2009 08:10

Hello? Anyone got any news for us?
I don't really want to start a Christmas swap until we know that everyone in this one is sending/receiving IYSWIM so let us know if you have/haven't had a parcel!

Not yet, JB, but then its a looooong way over so I wasn't expecting anything on time...

More pics everyone, please!!! I'm really enjoying seeing all the swap gifts!

Bumperlicioso · 08/11/2009 10:46

Hello all

I would like to get involved with the Christmas swap though I am a bit scared looking at all the fab stuff you guys made for halloween. How do you all find the time?!

JackBauer · 08/11/2009 11:03

Its use the benign neglect and cbeebies method Bumperlicioso

Bumperlicioso · 08/11/2009 11:58

Oh good, I'm getting good practice at that today!

CharCharGabor · 08/11/2009 12:59

I used the same method as Jack, works wonders! Jack, I'll be emailing the photos tonight

JackBauer · 08/11/2009 13:04

Cool charchar, bit worried no-one else has said they have ahd their stuff. Am hesitant to start a christmas one without 'signing off' on this one IYSWIM (apart from Geo being all difficult by living in sunnier climes)
WIll wait for post tomorrow night and send emails out to those who haven't posted they have receievd I think.

Thank you, thank you, thank you mystery swap friend!!!!!!!!! My package arrived today - the DCs went mad! We were thoroughly spoilt...

My DD and DS each got a gorgeous halloween felt bag of treats with a ghost on it, full of "exotic" English goodies and a skull and cross bones wrist band each; DD got a "cute black halloween cat with a heart button nose" (her excited description on the phone to DH) and DS got an adorable felt guitar with a little ghost on it. They are just soooo adorable, and we are all so excited with the package from the UK!

Oh, and I got an organic chocolate all of my own which I promptly hid... (I managed to take pics before they went wild with the treats - will email them to JB tomorrow)

It was so much fun taking part in this, thanks all for including me, even though I'm overseas!

JackBauer · 10/11/2009 21:38

Oh brilliant!
