I once tried to knit right handed. No joy. At all. I simply am not able to do it right handed.

So I just figured knitting isn't for me.

Snap pruni (I got a bounceback from that addy btw ) Round my way knitting is so not a Loop/Laughing Hens/Rooster/Colinette type activity.
More Wendy Courtelle really
Our church does have an awesome knitted Last Supper though!

dunno...tescos value twine?

you can dye it using beetroot and guava skins and Dylon, I expect

I was setting one up at a local small bistro but they pulled out saying they didn't realise people would really be knitting. They had the flyer for two weeks, called 'knitting club' and mentioning 'knitting'. They were utter wankers basically. So now I have to find an emergency venue for about 30 women on wednesday evening. I think we're just all going to descend on the local italian cafe.

By the way, I don't even own a pair fo knitting needles

but i have two velcro babies

monkeytrousers · 11/09/2006 17:53

Do you go to any other groups FillyjonktheBananaEater? Ask around them to see if there's any interest.

you mean, a home educating parent and toddler knitting group?

oooh, has potential...yes....

wartywarthog · 11/09/2006 19:20

ahahahaah pruni soooo with you on the keeping knitting as a dirty secret in case people think you're a trainspotter! i have kept my beading and knitting very quiet. i used to mention beading but stopped when people looked at me like i was roadkill. now i slope off to the wool shop under a veil of secrecy, pretending i'm looking at underwear when i'm actually making a sharp turn for the haberdashery department...

tamum · 11/09/2006 19:23

Pruni, you and me girl When you get here we can go and hang out at HK and spot likely looking women and make them come to our group. Only if they apear to be buying yarn we approve of though, natch.

Fillyjonk, if you come to Edinburgh you can join us, babies and all
