Anyone else using Pinterest yet?

I applied months and months ago, and never got any response from them, and yet my photos are all over pinterest, pinned by other people from my blog.

Hmm. I shall have to try again, or does anyone have an invite?

I must be thick. I cannot get the bloddy pin thing installed on my browser thingy. I need help

Queenmaeve I can't do it either - I think it all depends on the browser you are using. You can still add pins but it takes a little longer (top right hand corner of the page there are drop downs, go to the one that says pins, then add pins. Just copy and paste the web address).

Ah, but it's addictive in a GOOD way, honest.

I have found loads of fun projects to do for/with my evil children. And lots of recipes. And ideas for around the house and garden. I've actually done stuff! Not just sat on my bum on MN all day.

It's such a good way to collate your ideas for projects.

Many a time I've seen something and thought it was a good idea or could be adapted for something else, bookmarked it and forgotten about it. Now you can just pin it to a board.

plus it's a good way to make contacts if you are a designer/artist etc..I have a link on my website to it- and it is nice when other people repin something you've found and pinned.

I've just joined . . looks lovely . ..right up my street as I'm much more of a picture person than word person.

no,you don't as far as I know vulgar- I do and find it very useful again for 'networking' ! When I pin things it comes up on my fb page.
In the things I love section I put stuff that I'd be happy to have as presents,which might be handy for dh to look at ...

To my own surprise I have joined it. A few days ago I said it was a pure waste of time. What I like about it (cannot believe I am saying it) that once you pin your favourite pics they are in my folder.
But how does the Pininterest work? There is "like" and "pin". What if you re-pin a picture? Does it mean someone will loose the picture or it does not mean anything?
I need to add "pin" in the toolbar so I could pin my favourite things.

If you "like" something it won't appear on any of your boards but you can easily find your way back to it by clicking on your likes tab at the top of your own page. I sometimes do this if it's something I want to make for a friend (who also uses pinterest) but I don't want them to see it IYSWIM.

Nobody loses anything when you repin it just means that you have added it to a board.

I should never have read this thread, I have just lost an entire afternoon to pinterest!

Oh also - I got added within an hour of applying, I used a gmail account, don't know whether that made a difference?
