Currently awaiting Amino, been given 1 in 2 chance for DS. NT measurement of 4.3mm and high blood results. I feel like im waiting for the inevitable to be confirmed. Could you tell me your experience, good or bad, if you don't mind sharing? I have a long wait until 2nd January to get the amino and need to stop being so anxious.

20 Week Scan.

I am just documenting the next stage in my pregnancy in case it helps anyone in the future....

20-week scan today, no abnormalities found. Good view of all of the heart, kidneys, bladder, brain, stomach, face, spine, hands, feet, bones in arms & legs.

Interestingly, nuchal measurement is now well within normal range. Growth is on track.

I wish anyone reading this and going through a hard time positivity and strength.

Hi! I know this is quite an old thread but I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’ve been going through the same thing after getting a “greater than one in two chance” YET my scans look totally normal. Awaiting NIPT now…

I have feint hope thanks to you. And will continue to hold onto that.

Frankie2607 · 28/03/2025 03:22

Hi all. Just as an update, we had our beautiful little boy on the 3rd March. He’s healthy and just utterly perfect 💙 Currently sat here doing the 3.30am feed!

wanted to give a positive update to what was a truly awful experience. Can have a happy ending.

@HSilver Wishing you all the best. Let us know how you get on x

HSilver · 28/03/2025 06:29

Awww @Frankie2607 waking up to this supportive and kind message has been the happiest I’ve felt since finding out this horrid risk factor exists.

Absolutely lovely news that you’ve got your gorgeous boy and I remember those night feed days well. You’re doing amazingly 💖

I’m hoping to have results early next week from NIPT so will update when I know, I think it’s important this thread has both sides etc but I’m just hoping for a story as comforting as yours. At the moment I’m focusing on the fact my life will go on afterwards if I have to TFMR and that I’ve got a good life so therefore will be fine 😕

Frankie2607 · 28/03/2025 09:35

@HSilver thank you for your lovely message ♥️

Sounds like you’re handling the situation as best as you can, given everything. Will be thinking of you and keeping faith everything will work out for you xx

Hi there. Just to update the group - I’m having a termination on Tuesday for T21. Totally devastated and scared of the procedure also. Thank you for your support back when I still had hope 💕

Knowsley · 13/04/2025 18:26

@HSilver , thanks for the update. So sad that this is happening to you.
Hugs.

intrepidgiraffe · 13/04/2025 19:43

@HSilverso sorry this is happening to you. Really recommend the ARC helpline if you’ve not called them already. Hope it goes as smoothly as possible

Frankie2607 · 13/04/2025 22:25
