I don't get the 'fun' of invading another site and causing real upset to real people. I trust people on mumsnet and respond genuinely to them, and now I wish I hadn't - and that has upset me.

I'm sure this is going to get me labelled a humourless sourpuss over on CUK - but then I reckon I am already one of the "...rampaging horde of offended lardbuckets..." they refer to, or perhaps one of the ".... small clique of salad-dodging, vindictive, manic-depressive yet very vocal inadequates..." who is "...likely to go blubbing to the Admin if anyone does not treat them with kid gloves?..." (not that I did go to Admin, but hey, why spoil a good insult with facts).

I can't be arsed to read the whole thread, there are far too many long threads on this already, but no, DavidTennantsGirl, you're not unreasonable. I think it's twattery of the first order too. Some of the threads were funny for a little bit, but now I just wonder what kind of sad erectile problems men that bored must have that they've not given up and gone for a wank in the staff loos instead.

This all started about 7 years ago when a farming forum got closed down and about 40 posters took camp up in ours.

So much press is bound to attract people to MN. And with some of the funny and catty quotes often taken form here and banded about in the press who can blame people....MN is a wealth of wit, humour, over reaction, pfbness etc .....as long as they're funny and not offensive I say let them come....

The thread on CUK is quite entertaining, have skimmed up to page 20-ish, where they're starting to back away in fear...

Many of our members work long hours away from home, never leaving the hotel or flying around Europe. Some have social impediments(ie. they work in IT) or hygiene issues.

StewieGriffin, that is not nice that is. We do have a life, work long hours, do proper work, get harassed the entire day by our managers, we then bring home the bacon, cook food ( not that soup I hasten to add) and make sure that our kids have a roof over their heads.
