To Want More Money?

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 22:11

Hello

my DH is a lawyer and earns quite a bit. we have separate bank accounts and he pays for all the bills, food etc. and everything DS and DD need.
he gives me £750 per month for me to pamper myself and to buy my own things as i don't work.
but i'm finding that this isn't enough, a few spa visits and shopping trips and it all goes.

AIBU to want more? DH says I'm spoilt but I honestly think I need maybe an extra £500 a month. its no like DH can't afford it...

Listen Ladies, this poor woman wants our support. She is clearly in a loveless marriage, and has to start threads like this to get attention that she is lacking

OP I hope soon you find something to fulfill your miserable sounding life.

TheCrackFox · 05/12/2009 23:35

I don't think this is a woman posting but a hairy handed trucker called Dave. He masterbates ... a lot.... he hasn't been near a woman (for free) for 7 yrs.

MeltedTreeChocolates · 05/12/2009 23:38

If that is the case Crack then maybe we should just humour him? It is sad to have nothing else.

scottishmummy · 05/12/2009 23:39

no,we should support sw she only has £750pm.she needs more slap than pat butcher, and a vat of Touche Éclat costs a lot

so ease up - support her she has bingo wings

My kids are genetically flawed, its true

Funny how you picked on the one person who posted in your favour originally though OP isn't it? daft evcven

yes my kids ahve a disorder that is probably genetic, I suspect I understand that better than you as it is what I am studying for my MA. but The ASD is only one aspect of them- ds3, the more severe, is a person who brings joy to all, despite ASD he is loving, happy, incredibly bright and makes a very real difference to many poeple who are lucky enough to know him.

DS1 otoh is a proper little blossoming brainy type, I fully beleive his ASD will make the world a better place through practical application- robots is his big thing, so many applications.

Most of all though they have humanity, and even with their SN they have compassion. Compassion is such an essentialpart of being a human isn't it?

A great many of the worlds advances were made by people who almost certainly had spectrum disorders before the namewas well known (for AS it wasn't common in the UK until the 90's, IIRC 50's for Autism).

My children are perfect tome. I won'tpretend they fir any societalmodel of eprfection (although I have two that do as well). They have brought me much and I am grateful for them. yes my income has been affected but I am not poor- not by any means. I am blessed in a great many ways, in fact. A DH I am in love with and who lovs me; kids we adore; enough money. What else is there? Financial gain was never a big motivator for me- I am Quaker by nature if not attendance- so ewhilst IO could probably ahve used my good degree to earn laods, I am not someone who feels the need.

Dh will again; this is but a blip caused by nobody much. There's amassive shortage of trained people in the industry he is studying 9and he is thriving on his course). That is enough, weareworthwhile, contributing in many ways and I am happy.

its a hard life

MeltedTreeChocolates · 05/12/2009 23:53

I am one of those crazy people that genuinely has never cared for money. I have never wanted to be mega rich. I have had opertunities to be far better off than I am but without batting an eyelid turned them down. I see it as such a pointless and soul destroying life.

I could not have a husband that 'paid' me. How awful.

TheCrackFox · 05/12/2009 23:55

Maybe if she took it up the arse he would up her allowance?

MeltedTreeChocolates · 05/12/2009 23:56

oh Crack!! (haha the pun!)

scottishmummy · 05/12/2009 23:56

yes one's allowance is commensurate to perceived value

booboo78 · 05/12/2009 23:57

It's my guess she's already taking it all ways just to get what she is.

scottishmummy · 06/12/2009 00:00

less room to negotiate then.if she is maxed out on orifices

Pissedoffandfedup · 06/12/2009 00:03

I don't understand why you're posting here what did you expect? That other mums would support your money grubbing ways or that they would feel deep envy at the fact that you can spend so much money a month and still not be satisfied?

Having said that, I understand that you're lonely and unhappy and frustrated on a Saturday evening, which is exactly how I feel at the moment but for other reasons than your own. Cheers!

booboo78 · 06/12/2009 00:05

Could be handy for her though that her dh is a lawyer, he may have some knowledge of Disability Discrimination Act.
