To Want More Money?

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 22:11

Hello

my DH is a lawyer and earns quite a bit. we have separate bank accounts and he pays for all the bills, food etc. and everything DS and DD need.
he gives me £750 per month for me to pamper myself and to buy my own things as i don't work.
but i'm finding that this isn't enough, a few spa visits and shopping trips and it all goes.

AIBU to want more? DH says I'm spoilt but I honestly think I need maybe an extra £500 a month. its no like DH can't afford it...

You think that should earn you more respect than a nurse or just about anyone?

fledtoscotland · 05/12/2009 23:05

on a final note, he obviously thinks you are only worth £750 per month else he would give you free access to his income through a joint account

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 23:06

because he knows if he did i'd happily spend it all.

i think we should ease up,SWMBO is trying really hard

to walk, talk, bend and snap at same time

clearly she is rubbish at it,so her husband pays her less than the valet

TheCrackFox · 05/12/2009 23:11

Maybe he need all his money for his mistress?

missorinoco · 05/12/2009 23:11

EndangeredSpecies, I was wondering what SWMBO meant.

Afraid I'm not bored enough to answer the OP.

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 23:11

i like it how its people with "scotland" in the name criticising me.

just because i am well off.

when you're giving your DCs awful christmas presents, think perhaps if you tried harder they would have a better life. its you fault.

It isn't very good manners to brag about how much money you have.

You may be rich, but you're also a common chavvy type from what I can tell. Does your tracksuit have diamante on the derriere?

What exactly do you do other than sit around at home?

booboo78 · 05/12/2009 23:11

"i feel your pain.you are cheap,he pays you accordingly"

pmsl

VirginPeachyMotherOfSpod · 05/12/2009 23:13

'if they tried harder they would actually be able to give their DCs better christmases.'

PMSL

What, likemaanging 2 autistic kids, an MA, a first degree (DH), a part time self employed job and 2 NT kids as well? And still managing to volunteer at the school etc?

I tried to be nice- Ok so maybe not

Someone rated you 0.5/10;they overdid it seriously.

Oh and your Dh would pay you more if he loved you, clearly he doesn't.

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 23:13

i dont sit at home, i am always out with the girls doing this or that.

scottishmummy · 05/12/2009 23:14

scottishmummy · 05/12/2009 23:16

he pays you less than the valet toots.you're cheap ride

fledtoscotland · 05/12/2009 23:16

that's OK SWMBO. My 1st class degree obviously doesn't count as its from one of the best (and oldest) universities in the UK.

FWIW I'm not Scottish however my husband who is, happens to be an Lawyer in English Law.

My children do not go without and I haven't mentioned my household income so how do you know I'm poor. Maybe I just have self respect.

SWMBO · 05/12/2009 23:17

it is my postcode and initials if you must know

OP posts:
PixieOnaChristmasTree · 05/12/2009 23:17

Probably, Bella.

They can't be that perfect with you as their wife/mother. You can't even punctuate for a start. It's 'it's'. And most peopel would capitalise an 'I'.

We're getting bored now. Why not go and file your 'perfect' nails?

VirginPeachyMotherOfSpod · 05/12/2009 23:18

Of if youa re meaning my kids arent epfect

Thewre are limits my dear, and if its a wind up thats OTT

And now I will go check my perfect boys and make love to my adorable DH, whilst you lielike aprostitutre with a DH who probably hates you
