..to get really annoyed at some Cbeebies programmes?

My DS loves Cbeebies, obviously and there are some fantastic programmes on there that are soooo good for children. However there is also a load of shite that my DS will watch (he would watch anything if I let him) but I REALLY REALLY hate. Carries and Davids Popshop? WTF is this crap? Is it just me or is Timmy from Timmy Time a spoilt little brat (I like the others, its just Timmy), Chuggington does my effing head in, as do the Numberjacks, especially number 3, another spoilt little shit!

New one, Guess with Jess, bloody crap, can't they just stick to Postman Pat which is great. Where has Something Special gone? Gigglebiz, excuse for Justin to prat about in more costumes and Dirtgirlworld? WTF is that creepy shit? Also the title sounds like some dodgy porn site.

Love Waybuloo, can tolerate In the Night Garden (except the episodes when Upsy Daisy 'sings' or the Tombliboos play 'music'), and others that I have a total blank on.

I think I need to step away from the tv.

"the Numberjacks, especially number 3, another spoilt little shit! "

Ha ha ha ha ha! That's one of the funniest things I have read on MN. Imagine saying that infront of childless friends They would think you're bonkers! I love Timmy! Carrie 'one top' and her popshop is awful though. Boogie Babies or Beebies (??) always seem to have the same (vegetable) song, but maybe I just have cbeebies on too much

mummyloveslucy · 22/11/2009 20:38

I like Charlie and Lola, and third and bird is sweet. Everything else is unbearable for adults, but the children like it. I can tolerate Lazy town as I quite like Sporticus.

RockBird · 22/11/2009 20:41

Lazy Town is pure shite. We switch that off. Show Me Show Me is my DD's favourite. Big and Small is good as well.

BonjourIvresse · 22/11/2009 20:49

I don't mind Popshop, but I hate gigglebiz and jakers.

boogie beebies song.......

" can you dooo the kangaroooo......." aaargh!

don't like the new jolly jolly i can cook pprogramme. a bit too shiney bubbly for me

yes, show me show me is quite charming!

mummyloveslucy · 22/11/2009 21:06

I LOVE the theme tune to Jakers. It's so catchy. I think the theme tunes are the best parts of the programes, it's down hill from there.

mrscrocoduck · 22/11/2009 21:11

I CAN'T stand Numberjacks. STUPID pile of second-rate nonsense. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL.

Jakers is just bizarre.

Granny Murray from Me Too gives me the CREEPS!

Come Outside... no I don't want some light-aircraft-obsessed granny to show me around a sewage works and neither does my toddler.

The Tweenies are appalling brats, no wonder their parents have abandoned them to an endless life of childcare provision.

Eco-Beebies makes me run around my house turning on the lights and running unnecessary water down the drain. Bloody do-gooders.

Dirtgirlworld is wrong on too many levels. The main one being the perpetual twitching of 'Dirtgirl's face making her look like a tart on acid.

Big Cook Little cook can't cook. They can't even act like they can. They drive me to homicidal thoughts daily.

But I'm not just full of bile...

Sportacus is fit.
Mr Maker is fit.
Sid is fit.

And Show me show me is actually rather good.

monkeysmama · 22/11/2009 21:12

What is it with presenter wearing the same clothes every show (I Can Cook, Popshop etc.)? They must think kids find it reassuring or something? I love Timmy Time -he's very irreverent & makes me laugh. That crap with the fox really irritates me, and Mister Maker is as worthy of torture as anyone I loathe even the music "waa-waa-waa-waa"! Finlay the Fire Engine is bad tv but things like Tommy Zoom make me angry that we pay for a tv licence. I think "Me Too" is surreal-who though that'd be good tv?

Charlie & Lola is pretty good though-imaginative, well made.

We often just watch DVDs for our 20 minutes tv slot.

tommy zoom - don't get me started on that pile of rancid racoon droppings

gallusbesom · 22/11/2009 21:15

mummyloveslucy 3rd and bird is the work of the devil! DD loves it but it makes me puke everytime I see it - DD does do a great impression of 'do the muffin' mind you.

BonjourIvresse · 22/11/2009 21:18

I bloody hate 3rd and bird. Sid is very fit - I've met him irl and he is very lovely and friendly. Nature Chris is the best though.

Mrscrocoduck - shock] Mr Maker is fit?!!!!

randomama · 22/11/2009 21:31

mrscrocoduck you are very funny indeed.
but sportacus??? fit??? and in attractive? WTF? he is VILE...
I have a weird thing for Andy if I'm honest though

hmmm. I havr to say I reckon DS must have really shit taste. he LOVES Clifford and his favourite is Popshop. to the extent where he refers to himself as (and requests that I call him) David; calls me Carrie; and calls DP Riff . He LOVES that shit.

Does anyone else fill up at the 'season' songs? I weep almost daily to them. who ever writes those tunes is actually my favourite band at the moment. .

puffling · 22/11/2009 21:32

Bring back Story Makers! Why is it banned? It's ideal as a pre-bath pre-bedtime prog. Blue cow's great. We've got about 20 of then recorded and watch them in rotation.

randomama · 22/11/2009 21:32

meant as in attractive.

gallusbesom · 22/11/2009 21:32

The Autumn song sounds as if the Go Team wrote it for them

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 22/11/2009 21:35

Gigglebiz is pure genius!

50ftQueenie · 22/11/2009 21:35

Me Too appears to feature Barbara the cab driver from the League of Gentlemen.

randomama - I can sort of see the appeal of Sportacus. Have you seen that man doing press-ups?

mummyloveslucy · 22/11/2009 21:35

Lol, well I think it's sweet. but I am a soppy bugger at the best of times.

beeny · 22/11/2009 21:36

I hate Carrie and David, I do like the Large family.

poorbuthappy · 22/11/2009 21:39

Puffling...is story makers banned?? Details please...

jemart · 22/11/2009 21:40

YANBU, not in the least. I despise almost everything on cbeebies, my children disagree however so I am often forced to let them watch. Can cope with Charlie & Lola, Jakers, and Jackanory Junior.
