To be annoyed with childminder for giving DS ready made pasta?

The freshly stuffed type you buy from M&S? We had an agreement that all meals would be freshly cooked. I take ages making each meal for him from scratch and have never given him pre-prepared or convenience food and bit annoyed she has.

get off this thread then Shineoncrazy!!

For the 100th time, I AM NOT ASKING HER TO MAKE FRESH PASTA FROM SCRATCH, just to not give DS ready meals or the equivalent!

I have just LMAO at this thread. As it's simply not physically possible to be so posh that you consider M&S freshly stuffed ravioli to be chavvy processed crap, it has to be a wind-up. Come on, who are you? Your third post about the sausage was just too comedy as well.

TheFallenMadonna · 16/05/2009 00:23

Seriously - tell her. I bet she does consider it to come under your strictures - whether you think this makes her 'stupid' or not

Pingpong · 16/05/2009 00:24

well you didn't make yourself very clear to us and I think that you possibly didn't make it very clear to your CM Nanny

BecauseImWorthIt · 16/05/2009 00:24

And for the 100th time, Snippets, have you made that clear to her? Because you haven't given me the courtesy of answering me on any of my posts about this.

tigerdriver · 16/05/2009 00:24

snippets - and sorry, this comes from an old full time wouldn't have it any other way working mum - don't you have any meals in the week at all with your child? not even breakfast? that is quite surprising.

KingCanuteIAm · 16/05/2009 00:25

Thank goodness for that Shiney, normality is restored

Snippets, I think you are missunderstanding the way MN works...

Snippets · 16/05/2009 00:25

One suggestion - maybe you should all spend less time on mumsnet and more time cooking for your kids. Sorry but MacDonalds and ready meals for a 13 month old? Has the world gone crazy? No wonder childhood obesity is soaring.

When you delegate something though Snippets you have to accept that it's unlikely that the task will be done exactly as you want it.

Regardless of how fab your childcare is, it is isn't you doing everything exactly how you want to. If you have no flexibility at all then IMO the only thing you can do is to do it yourself. Your nanny is not going to do everything just the way you do it 100% of the time.

BIWI, she didn't bother answering the same question when I asked it at the start of the thread either - twice.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 16/05/2009 00:26

I aint cooking for no one at 12.30 on a Friday night.

@ shiney!

KingCanuteIAm · 16/05/2009 00:28

Snippets, maybe you should spend more time on MN and serve pizza and chips once in a blue moon, maybe you will Chilax and get a SOH

Snippets · 16/05/2009 00:28

As I said if YOU READ THE THREAD, I already cook one meal a day and just ask her to do the other whilst breakfast takes care of itself. Probably still do more cooking than you.

Who could have imagined that removing stuffed pasta from the shelves of M&S is the solution to childhood obesity?

Snippets. Admit it,You're just pissed off because it wasn't from Waitrose aren't you?

MillyR · 16/05/2009 00:29

I have my own chickens and am in negotiations for a pig so I feel superior to city dwelling pasta makers anyway.

Thunderduck · 16/05/2009 00:29

Snippets. Don't make me remove your caps key for misuse.

TheFallenMadonna · 16/05/2009 00:29

ROFL at the rudeness

Wind-up, no?

muffle · 16/05/2009 00:29

at chilax. DS has started telling me to chilax. (He must have picked it up it from his chavvy nursery)

tigerdriver · 16/05/2009 00:30

snippets is obviously multitasking:

  • Mnetting
  • making fresh pasta to freeze for her cm nanny
  • reading up on how to sack her nanny
  • also doing some super fabbo report for her 55+ hour job
  • probly doing some friday night favour for Mr Snippy

crikey, I wish I had her energy - any tips, Snippy?
