I can't get into the old thread so I think we filled it up! I hope everyone finds the new one.

So nice, shiny new thread, nice shiny new AIBU.

AIBU to be jealous of my DH's correspondence with a stranger?

Pogle, I feel I ought to know yours but I'm not getting anywhere.

Maria, this isn't ringing bells at all now. Doh!

CJ, sorry about the Auntie - and Moomin', yes, you make a good point about Aunt Naming Conventions.

Personally I think she's quite fun but the townsfolk Mae disapprove. Especially as my family is already in the bad books around these parts, after my father spent all his wages on vegetable seeds, so that now my parents can't afford the church fees.

MoominMymbleandMy · 31/05/2009 09:23

Morning all!

llandb, you scamp, have you been burying your mother in the back yard and shooting visiting preachers?

CJ, had you taken umbrage at the gross misrepresentation of your character by the playwright?

...I can walk and run just like anyone else! This is the best dream ever...

OP posts:
CJCregg · 31/05/2009 10:15

Morning all! Stumped, as usual ...

I'm not exactly trying to stop the play, just interrupting it at an apposite moment with my own little political message!

MoominMymbleandMy · 31/05/2009 11:03

Hmm, are you a suffragette, CJ?

...I miss the dream. It was so real. But I couldn't desert my friend. And he's promised we won't crack any more cribs, or go on the cadge...

OP posts:
llandb · 31/05/2009 11:44

Moomin', I most certainly have - anything to escape that neon Bible!

MoominMymbleandMy · 31/05/2009 12:24

llandb, you do go in for some cheery reading!

OP posts:
CJCregg · 31/05/2009 21:33

Actually I'm not a real suffragette, but of course you are right, Moomin. Can't stop - got to keep an eye on my ebay bid, which is about to run out ...

CJCregg · 31/05/2009 21:35

And am feeling totally useless as I am complete CRAP at guessing these!

CJCregg · 31/05/2009 22:16

I lost the bid ...

My stupid, stupid alarm didn't go off to remind me, I got buried in some stupid, totally irrelevant MN thread about bugger all and when I rushed back it had gone.

There are two more, but I am surprisingly devastated and don't know if I've got the nerve to go through another one. Just can't bear the thought that some other bastard fan is about to take delivery of MY book. Grrr.

Just trying to breathe, now!

MoominMymbleandMy · 31/05/2009 23:28

Oh poor CJ! I've had that happen loads of times. But you'll probably get the next one cheaper because I've had that happen too.

Anyway, the suffragette guess was just that. I have no idea which one it is! Another clue, please.

...I'm dreaming again! The moonflower seeds worked! I've met a couple of cousins. One of them knows a lot about the Gunpowder Plot. How? It hasn't happened yet...

OP posts:
Quattrocento · 31/05/2009 23:37

How are you all? Glad this is still going.

Moomin - harding's luck?

MoominMymbleandMy · 01/06/2009 00:13

Hi Quattro, yes, well done indeed! This is my favourite E Nesbit! And it's quite spooky that Pogle started running The House of Arden at the same time, because Dicky Harding is really Richard Arden, the long-lost heir, and the cousin who aired her historical knowledge so inconveniently is Elfrida!

Anyway, AIBU to think my great-grandmother's house is haunted?

OP posts:
llandb · 01/06/2009 10:37
Pogleswood · 01/06/2009 22:03

Ooh,I've never read Harding's Luck
Moomin,if you are just having the odd neurotic moment then YABU. If,on the other hand, you are hearing laughter, ghostly hands are tugging at books you're sitting on,and dominoes are setting themselves up and knocking themselves down, then probably no...

MoominMymbleandMy · 01/06/2009 22:17

Pogle, how spooky! That's exactly what's been happening to me. Do you know something I don't?!

OP posts:
Pogleswood · 01/06/2009 22:22

And do the eyes in the pictures follow you around?I think it's possible that you won't have to play on your own for much longer!
But do be careful in the garden...

AIBU to be really proud of my medal?

MoominMymbleandMy · 01/06/2009 22:26

Oh well done Pogle! That was super fast! I'll take your advice about watching out for Green Noah.

And can I beg another clue for your medal please, before I am shoved off the computer? I am being hovered at!

OP posts:
Pogleswood · 01/06/2009 22:40

It has a picture on it...
see you later!

MoominMymbleandMy · 02/06/2009 09:07

Morning!

Pogle, was the medal for the inadvertent capture of a burglar?

OP posts:
llandb · 02/06/2009 17:11
Pogleswood · 02/06/2009 19:37

You know,I can't remember what the medal was for! I have a white rosette too..(will go and check about the medal )

MoominMymbleandMy · 02/06/2009 21:36

Pogle, are you feline and forgetful?

AIBU to allow my DD to keep a pet without our landlady's permission?

OP posts:
CJCregg · 02/06/2009 22:24

Evening all!

AIBU to want to reclaim my throne?

MoominMymbleandMy · 02/06/2009 23:12

Hi CJ, are you living in exile? What happened to the suffragette who wasn't, btw?

OP posts:
CJCregg · 03/06/2009 00:17

Oops, sorry - well, she was a sort of suffragette but was actually a bit young to join the cause ...

Yes, I'm in exile and need some human and magic help to get my kingdom back.

There - that'll keep you awake
