Well, I live in Paris. Just fed up with having my face stroked and being oohed over...My name is short and to the point. I am really beloved.

Hmm, I think, Cheri, you will have to get counselling for your addiction to les femmes d'une certaine age!

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:44

Salome - I think I might be way off here but are you Nana?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:47

Spot on MrsF! didn't make it clear enough I was a boy!

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:47

Hmmmm ok, so not Nana then

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:48

Shell Seekers! have read it, but ages ago.....

Simplysally · 17/04/2009 15:48

I can't remember if this has been done or not.

AIBU? My dd2 is such a tomboy. She's cut all her hair off and now she wants to live in a garret to become a writer. She is so unlike my other two dds.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:48

I am Cheri, Maria! another Colette classic.

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:49

Thank you MMJ. It's a relief to know!!!!

I think I might be obsessed with this thread.

Stayingsunnygirl · 17/04/2009 15:49

Not quite a book but - my daughter keeps receiving gifts from a young man - the back garden's a cross between an aviary, a farmyard and a circus - people jumping all over the place, and we've got more milk than we'll need in weeks (though the jewellry will be useful). AIBU to get a restraining order?

cory · 17/04/2009 15:49

What about my village friend and her bag of peaches? So far the acquaintance seems to have got off to a flying start, but you never know.

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:49

Think it has sally, is your best mate called Laurie?

cory · 17/04/2009 15:50

This shouldn't still be going on, StayingSunny. Twelfnight was months ago! Take those animals to the market!

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:50

Ah!

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:51

Cory, I know I should know this. Not James and the Giant Peach? No. Peach Plum? all very fruity though!

Staying...quick reminder of last one?

cory · 17/04/2009 15:52

Shouldn't that be three other dd's, Sally? You don't mean to say that one has died?

cory · 17/04/2009 15:53

The peaches are not essential to the story,s alome. Just a little comforting present for a lady with a sprained ankle. Fell off her bicycle, so they say. Or something.

Simplysally · 17/04/2009 15:53

Oops, yes I have another dd.

She's very ill quiet though so that's probably why I overlooked her.

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:53

Sunny - you've got a lot of musicians and dancers though. Have a party! We'll all come (in exchange for one of those rings).

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:54

I suppose it depends on at what point you are picking up the story? one snuffs it half way through, surely? (memories of howing over that particular episode as a kid)

MariaCC · 17/04/2009 15:55

Sally - I'd watch the boy next door. He's not going to marry the DD you think he is!

MrsFlittersnoop · 17/04/2009 15:55

I work for a lovely woman, but I've got a real problem with her DH. He keeps coming on to me even though I'm engaged to be married. He used to be a real player, but promised he'd reform when he married his DW.

I told my DF what he's up to and he's furious! He's plotting all kinds of revenge. AIBU to go along with it?

salome64 · 17/04/2009 15:58

I tried Maria! passes tiny lawn hankie edged with brussels lace with enigmatic intials on...

Simplysally · 17/04/2009 16:00

AIBU?

I have written a small journal about my life in which I've enlarged about some minor details of my life to date. I may go off at the odd tangent here and there but it is a full and concise account of my life, thoughts and general outlook on life.

Friends tell me although it is amusing, it is rather protracted, hard to follow on occasion and I should consider editing some words out before having it published. I think not.

PS I am not called Pepys.
