salome64 · 22/04/2009 00:07

felt the same! chocolate happily accepted. mmmmm.

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 00:08

I thought I had read every witchy book going when I was small - wanted to be one.

salome64 · 22/04/2009 00:09

Ah moomin, thanks for that! knew he had to live somewhere!

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 00:12

Ha, got one, and not obscure.

AIBU to think the new recruit to our dangerous expedition is a bit of a lightweight? He's fussing about not having a handkerchief FGS!

salome64 · 22/04/2009 00:13

stayiinnnngggg?!!!!!!

salome64 · 22/04/2009 00:14

ooh oooh ooh. Bastables, Cecil, cant remember which book!

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 00:17

...and the lack of regular meals. He is very fond of his stomach...

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 00:21

...and riddles...

Night Salome, Sunny, undetected lurkers, lovely to see you back

salome64 · 22/04/2009 00:22

nighty night! Lovely to have been missed!

Stayingsunnygirl · 22/04/2009 00:43

I'm off to bed now, ladies. But before I go - AIBU to blame Strictly Come Dancing on Ice for the girl's problem crush - after all, he fell for her during a dance that she crashed (naughty girl). And what's with the semi-naked little men in kilts??

G'night all! xxxx

llandb · 22/04/2009 12:16

'Ello all, back after disappearing for a coupla days there. Some puzzling ones here, which I can't begin to guess so I will just jump in with one (!) (Hope I'm not breaking any genre rules - er, are there genre rules?)

So -

AIBU to contemplate taking an unchaperoned boat trip with a gentleman friend? I suspect he plans to whisk me away across the open sea to foreign shores, as he has backed lots of food, and cash!! But OTOH he's a romantic soul and I think he's planning to pop the question.

llandb · 22/04/2009 12:17

Um 'packed' not 'backed'

Stayingsunnygirl · 22/04/2009 12:28

Ahh you beautiful feline!!

salome64 · 22/04/2009 12:42

llandb, sounds like you could make sweet music...

llandb · 22/04/2009 12:53

Aw, shucks, you two ... the quince was delicious, though the runcible spoon was tricky

Pogleswood · 22/04/2009 13:07

hooray its still here(the thread, that is...),and I was just about to say none of these books are familiar, but stayingsunny I've realised I know the little men in kilts!,all the other clues passed me by!
She really shouldn't have crashed the dance...,and summer won't be pleased..

salome64 · 22/04/2009 13:13

off out with ds now. keep up the good work ladies!

Stayingsunnygirl · 22/04/2009 13:53

Yay - congratulations Pogleswood!

Having been born in a London prison, AIBU to think that although pretty, I am bound to end up a criminal?

llandb · 22/04/2009 16:13

Sunny, are you very close to your brother...?

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 18:46

Too late.....but it took me so long to get this I will post it anyway.

Wintersmith!

Should I be worried that it was the mention of the half-naked men which made the penny drop?

No one figured out my lightweight adventurer yet?

He likes fireworks and mushrooms too.

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 18:54

Sunny, are you little?

Pogleswood · 22/04/2009 19:26

i think the wee free men make a very strong impression!
A friend has come to tea and overindulged. My entrance is now blocked - AIBU to utilise him in doing my laundry??

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 19:58

Pogle, very sensible course of action I'd say.
Only a bear of little brain could get himself into such a tight place.

My adventurer feels it is unfair to class him as a lightweight. He had quite enough to do with all the washing-up for thirteen beforehand!

Pogleswood · 22/04/2009 20:27

Aargh Moomin - more clues, more clues! (please...)

MoominMymbleandMy · 22/04/2009 20:36

He lives in a hole in the ground...
