Is there someone that lives in Brighton?
I have heard a rumor that Mr Cave and his wife are expecting another baby.
Is there someone that knows if it's true?

"Without sounding like a loon Nick Cave is my neighbour and I am a big fan but these days I see him so often and in such mundane settings I am getting a bit blase. I saw him last week in the cheapo local Italian restaurant with one of his older boys and in Tescos not so long ago. If I do see Susie (wife)shall I report back?"
Do you have some news?

Liffey · 07/11/2008 19:41

This thread will still be running when the child starts school. (this child of the wife of the bloke I've never heard of!)

CoteDAzur · 09/11/2008 06:56

How can you never have heard of Nick Cave?

Have you never listened to any other music than Beatles, Michael Jackson, and Britney?

You must have at least heard of this

SlowlyFadingForms · 09/11/2008 12:22

Hi there Betty- thanks for clearing that up for us!

grouchyoscar · 10/11/2008 10:41

This thread is totally inane. and fantastic

Proof positive that Mr Cave is a fantastic addition to british life

I used to despise him and his bands as a callow youth but as I have matured he is just a godlike genius.

Lotster · 10/11/2008 19:39

Paddles! Charging. 250. Clear! And the thread is still alive...

So Nick Cave gave an interview 5 days ago in which he mentioned NOTHING about bottles of water, or impregnating his wife or anything... the git.

But you can read it here . And then possbily stalk the journalist for any details he may have let slip

Dreamstress · 10/11/2008 20:32

"So Nick Cave gave an interview 5 days ago "

Sorry but he gave this interview more than a month ago when when he was touring the US.

Jas · 10/11/2008 20:50

It is dated November 5th, which I guess is why 5 days ago was suggested, assuming you ignore 2007 at the end of the date

Portofino · 10/11/2008 21:01

I can't believe this is still going!

Habbibu · 10/11/2008 21:01

Oh, I have just cried laughing at this thread! Am waiting for the streets to fill with MNers gasping for a drink but too afraid to carry water for fear of being unmasked as pregnant...

beanieb · 10/11/2008 21:04

I drink loads of water and can catagorically state that despite doing so for the last 12 months and TTC for as long, I am not pregnant.

SpangleMaker · 10/11/2008 21:29

Not read the thread, but find the idea of Nick Cave 'starring' in AIBU highly amusing. Perhaps MN will feature in one of his future songs, or perhaps he will do a webchat, since he has done this with Woman's Hour

Lotster · 10/11/2008 23:23

Errr. "By Michael Tedder on November 5, 2008 7:00 AM"

But who gives a monkeys? It made you all feed the beast!

serenity · 10/11/2008 23:37

Ooooooh this still going? Time for another song I think

"Into My Arms"

I don't believe in an interventionist God
But I know, darling, that you do
But if I did I would kneel down and ask Him
Not to intervene when it came to you
Not to touch a hair on your head
To leave you as you are
And if He felt He had to direct you
Then direct you into my arms

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

And I don't believe in the existence of angels
But looking at you I wonder if that's true
But if I did I would summon them together
And ask them to watch over you
To each burn a candle for you
To make bright and clear your path
And to walk, like Christ, in grace and love
And guide you into my arms

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

And I believe in Love
And I know that you do too
And I believe in some kind of path
That we can walk down, me and you
So keep your candlew burning
And make her journey bright and pure
That she will keep returning
Always and evermore

Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms, O Lord
Into my arms

Absolutely bloody love this song.

Lotster · 10/11/2008 23:43

How soothing {smile]

SpangleMaker · 11/11/2008 06:20

DH chose that as his reading at our wedding. Makes me go all gushy whenever I hear it.

blacklove · 11/11/2008 07:09

"Thank you blacklove! "

I hope he has a little girl.

I would love to hear some little girl lullabyes.
Congratulations Nick and Susie.

Lacrimae · 11/11/2008 22:18

Is there anyone that knows where Nick Cave's twins go to school in Brighton?
During the past year they went at St.Aubyns school but now they moved from St.Aubyns.
Someone said that they go at a Catholic school.
Is there someone that can confirm this?
Thanks in advance

Lacrimae · 12/11/2008 17:20

Anyone?

pointydog · 12/11/2008 17:32

do you have something to pass on to his twins, lacrimae? A lost 'tache?

AuldAlliance · 12/11/2008 17:45

This has to be one of the funniest threads on MN at the moment.
I think that given the amount of interest Mr Cave and his accoutrements and entourage provoke, YANBU at all. Whatever the actual question was...
