I kind of know it is but can’t seem to stay away … anyone else?

OP posts:

She really doesn’t. It was perfectly clear.

It was clear to me too

moggiek · Today 15:04

You are denying my reality and lived experience.

🤣🤣🤣

It's ironic that OP's post created a bun fight in 20 minutes Grin

Think we all need to go outside and smell the roses.

I know sorry 😂 maybe I need to take it all less seriously. Horrible posts really upset and annoy me.

Why does she need to start an argument with her ducks? 🤔

Maybe get them ready for shooting.

Tbf, the pp's post was perfectly clear. You just didn't read it properly.

Perfectly clear to me too.

In fact I actually can't read it wrong, even though I've tried.

Don't be sorry, I think it proved your point beautifully.

This place is crazy oftentimes.

You're absolutely right. A total left-wing cesspit of man-hating misandrists. Extremely chronically online userbase not representative of the general population. Walk away !

PaperFlyingFucks · Today 15:06

PineConesAndBerries and those that have said similar have the right idea. I read what I want to read and ignore/hide the rest.

My bingo card is doing nicely...

I am laughing my head off. Poor @kidsnetflix says that MN effects her MH and within 10 minutes two PPs start fighting.

MN can also be very entertaining and I do get lots of laughs along with the frequent dose of misery.

MrsBennetsPoorNervesAreBack · Today 15:13

smallglassbottle · Today 15:01

To you it was clear.

Yes. And to other posters as well. You seem to be the only one who struggled with it, so instead of the pp needing to write more clearly, perhaps you need to read more carefully.

Thankyounextnext · Today 15:16

Give your head a wobble, OP.

hotmumshit · Today 15:21

Yeah agree - theres just not enough chat and casualness

Its all quite hostile

I'm addicted though

You need to write more clearly.

I understood it too.

OP, you could also stay off AIBU and hang out in Telly addicts, What We Are Reading, The Litter Tray etc....
Not Style and Beauty though. People get surprisingly angry about whether to esar fascinators or not....

DallazMajor · Today 15:24

Have you thought about taking in some ironing ?

Yep perfectly clear to me too.

@kidsnetflix , please start another innocent thread , let's see if we can break this bun fight record

OriginalSkang · Today 15:25

I know how you feel. Not atm, but I have been addicted to message boards for about twenty years and sometimes I feel like I can't stop

OriginalUsername2 · Today 15:26

I don’t think it affects my mental health but it’s probably not great to read every day about all the ways people can be shitty to each other. Or maybe it is because at least I’m armed with info on how to deal with every type of arsehole

TallulahBetty · Today 15:26

Cancel the cheque, and log it with 101.

SmallDFartyCarNRG · Today 15:29

This morning I went to settings and hid a bunch of threads that wind me up (somehow the Royals one always came up top of feed and I am simply not as bothered as the frothing posters on there about any of them). That might help with things you find triggering and give you some control back?

OriginalSkang · Today 15:31

Sometimes I feel like I am always either annoyed at people's responses on here (when they say something I class as ridiculous, anyway) or I'm annoyed or upset on someone's behalf because of whatever horrible situation they are going through

I can't read any threads with too much injustice in. Sometimes I start reading and think that the scenario is too much to even have in my head and click out

Waitingfordoggo · Today 15:32

Sorry to hear that OP. Sometimes I spend too much time on here and get drawn into arguments and then don’t seem to be able to tear myself away and that isn’t good for my mental health.

The worst thing online for my MH though is FB comment sections- especially anything to do with feminism; the replies make me despair.

I wish I had enough willpower to stay offline as default and only use the internet for essential tasks. But I have zero willpower, sadly. The invention of smartphones was the worst possible invention for someone like me.

Chilltme · Today 15:33

YAnBU I’m now on diet pills and thinking my DH is going to cheat on me!

T1mesAreHardForDreamers · Today 15:33

There are very specific parts that are wholesome and bring me joy (looking at you, Christmas board), but anything more general that garners a wider audience, especially active or trending, yes I find it negative on several levels, the main one being how some people are willing to treat/talk to people who as far as they know are genuinely struggling.
