Netflix price rise will be to their detriment.

Netflix prices are going up again. The last price rise wasn't so long ago.

I'm already on the basic netflix package. As I am with Disney. I get Prime free, as i use Amazon delivery lots. Nothing else.

I realise £2pm increase isn't that much, but £7.99pm sounds and feels a lot more than the £4.99 i was paying 2 years ago for the same service.

I also realise i don't have to subscribe, but there is the occasional great series that is unmissible.

I miss the days of 4 channels. I miss the days where subscription services only charged 1 fee for an ad free service.

I understand why so many of my friends and family have got dodgy boxes.

AIBU thinking netflix are pushing their luck here and will lose customers as a result?

If enough people cancel surely they would have a rethink?

We used to have Netflix when we could use it across the family-two at uni in term time and us at home. We used it to watch films when visiting my parents as well. As that was clearly not how they wanted the set up to work, we just cancelled it completely. I really don’t miss it. The kids probably watched it more but now they’re working, none of them bother to pay for it so they can’t have missed it that much!

But that's not the price rise that would make you cancel it, it's the fact you can't find anything to watch. If you don't watch it then £1 a month is too much.

I probably wouldn't have reviewed the fact that we have the subscription if they hadn't emailed me to say there was a price increase, that's what made me consider how much we really use it

I immediately cancelled mine, I just sign up to subscription services briefly when there’s a series I want to watch then opt back out and move on.

I dip in and out. Content isn’t great. Same with Amazon,
