A lighthearted thread, for men and women to join - just a distraction from the news really ❤️

Mine - never had a good one, but planning to once dd goes to school 😉
Worst - classic story - guy 'exploding' and then pulling a 'welp' face and leaving, bless him 😩

The fun police has arrived. I made a jokey comment about my intended one night stand that actually ended up with marriage. I don’t think we need to dissect the dictionary definitions of the phrase. Have a nice evening.

My brother is married too to his 'one night stand'. Went home together, said bye in the morning and never expected to see her again - she thought the same, she had no intention of meeting him again (she told me!). Fast forward a few months they bumped into each other at a party and got chatting, met for a date later on and actually got on really well.

Yeah, I'd class that as a ONS too as the intention originally was just that.

FeliciaFancybottom · 15/08/2026 16:27

It absolutely does not constitute a one night stand, though.

I agree it does not.

It can be argued that you are being overly picky, however, people who like to make out they've done 'naughty risky' things like ons when in fact the 'one night stand' is somebody they've got 2.4 kids with are mildly annoying.

Fair enough. Better that than being someone who calls the man they've been married to for decades a 'one night stand' in order to make themselves sound more exciting.

Which is how I perceive it to be.

You're bored on a Saturday night I see. You could go have fun, do something 'exciting', perhaps a ONS?!

Jesus, are Orwell's language police on this thread?
I suppose one should put a massive 'LIGHT-HEARTED' banner before anything that anyone could find something to remotely object to.

And it's interesting how you change your direction of attack rather than engaging with my response to your last one.

He didn't owe you an apology, an explanation or an alternative sex act. He owed you precisely nothing.

"Specimen", fucking Hell!

I agree.
That's what you (not you personally, obviously) get when you encourage women to behave like ladettes, though.
Drinking, doing drugs and lots of indiscriminate casual sex and so on.

They use the language of the worst 'lads'.

Sex is supposed to be a mutually enjoyable, shared and reciprocal activity. Abruptly quitting because the other party asked you to participate in something that's normally considered an enhancement to this activity is very bad manners.

If you and I were out for a curry and you suggested sharing a biryani, I'd tell you I don't enjoy that level of intensity but you're welcome to order it for yourself or share a different dish. I wouldn't go "Yuk!" and leg it out of the restaurant without another word.

Guy here. Best? Possibly a girl on holiday in Faliraki in the early 90s. I was 27, she was 20, and we had sex three times on the beach in one night, and it was absolutely amazing. I've never forgotten it. Worst? Girl I met in a pub during an afternoon drinking session. Went back to her place and started to get down to it. Her fanny stank like week old fish. It was so overpowering, it hit me almost like a punch when it wafted up...

You sound classy, and like a real catch.

I once had a once night stand with someone who was just so bad, I stopped him part way through and said, "Nope. I can't do this." Got up, got dressed and drove home 😁

😆 🤣 😂 😹 makes a change for it to be the woman who calls the shots. Good for you.

What is wrong with women doing one night stands? They don't have be held to a higher standard than men. Are we going backwards here?

Namechangee11 · 15/08/2026 22:47

I have had loads of ONS and I only have one regret because it was with a friend, someone I really cared about as a friend but the sex was awful, just absolutely rubbish - no chemistry. And it did marr our friendship so it was stupid and pointless and I think we did it because we were bored and/or lonely?? Best is a hook up from a club in the 90's... Just a perfect kisser, an epic epic level of foreplay, peerless oral and finishing up with a really beautiful looking cock! He was generous and filthy with loads of very sexy dirty talking and we had a lovely time... It was a weekender so officially a two night stand but it went nowhere afterwards as I was in no shape to have a relationship, I'd had a recent breakup and was heartbroken and anyway was moving back to mainland Europe within days.. I would say it is one for the 'wank bank' but I'm sure the pearl clutchers would object but I have quite a lot of 'material' from the good old days and like I said, no regrets. I think I've been very lucky. Haha, I've just looked him up, he is a yoga teacher and still lovely looking man 😁

How awful! Some of my sins as a younger woman:

  • Not being ladylike. Fair cop, I accept that the women of the aristocracy may be more discreet about their sexual adventures. I don't know any well enough to ask.
  • Cheapening myself. Okay: I wasn't for sale at any price.
  • Giving away my value. My value doesn't reside in my vagina. Does yours?
  • No decent man would want me. I wouldn't call a man decent if he thinks of sex as a favour women do for men, which has to be earned.
  • The men wouldn't respect me. Experience tells me this was rarely the case. On occasions where it was a possibility, why should I care? I was never going to see them again; their opinions were irrelevant.
  • Being loud. I am. Some people believe women should be quiet and demure. I don't believe there's any advantage in making oneself easy to ignore.
  • Drinking, doing drugs. Great fun when indulged appropriately.
  • Indiscriminate casual sex. Casual; not indiscriminate. Casual partners normally choose one another. Some people do engage in random sex with unchosen partners, but those are niche activities of which I have no experience.
  • And so on. Whatever this is, I may have done it! Care to elaborate?
JaceLancs · 15/08/2026 23:45

Worst was a lovely quiet good looking guy who I saw regularly in my local pub (this is 40 years ago!)
Brewers droop meant we never managed it
Best was a hanging from chandeliers moment - he ticked and touched every box and made me feel so special - we ended up staying together for quite a few years - the sex was always great but didn’t compensate for our incompatibility in other areas

CookingFatCat · 15/08/2026 23:49

Breaking a VERY long sex drought. Over a decade. He was very good looking and I was looking forward to a proper seeing to.

We had gotten naked and I saw what was hanging between his legs - a very small penis.
I wasn’t actually sure he was inside me or not and, as I debated , in those ten seconds it was over.
Utterly gutted.

Gettingbysomehow · 16/08/2026 00:06

The last time I had a one night stand I ended up marrying him.

Daygloboo · 16/08/2026 01:01

Gooseling · 15/08/2026 01:16

Worst one was what can only be described like the scene off the Inbetweenees where Will is laid on top of Charlotte and doing some sort of shuffling motion.

I had one where the guy moved like what I can only describe as an ironing board doing press ups. It was very odd. Shame coz he was Northern Irish and looked just like Eddie Kidd and had a sexy accent. But the press up motion just left me cold.

MIWillNeverLetYouDown · 16/08/2026 01:18

Best ONS - my husband - we were supposed to “fuck it and fuck it off” as neither of us wanted a relationship

Worst ONS - the man who put his disgusting damp socks on my radiator and then miaowed at me

@GarlicAnywhereI think we could be best friends because I could have written this list

cadburyegg · 16/08/2026 02:23

About 16 years ago, another micropenis one. Couldn’t actually tell if he was inside me or not. So not sure if we actually managed to have actual sex. I think he attempted to put a condom on. It was literally the size of my little finger. Will never forget the experience of trying to give him a handjob just holding it between my thumb and forefinger. Funny thing was he was an amazing kisser but really full of himself. Blocked me after. I was fuming. In hindsight I think he had a girlfriend. About 2 years ago I swiped right on him on bumble for the hell of it and to my surprise he came up as a match (which meant he’d previously swiped right on me). I immediately messaged him saying “you must be joking 🤣”. Never been blocked (again!) so fast!

BebbanburgIsMine · 16/08/2026 03:04

I’ve never had one, I’ll get slaughtered now but I think the very idea of them is disgusting.,

That said, what anyone else gets up to is none of my business, and doesn’t bother me, but I’d be incredibly disappointed if either of my adult DDs ever admitted to having one.

I am woefully lacking in experience

On my weight loss journey and waiting for dd to start school

Then i'm gonna cram em in!

Curious as to why your dd starting school is a factor?

Afternoon delight? 😄

You do you. I don't give a fuck about your sexual adventures.

I won't be lectured to by somebody who it appears to me thinks a person has to offer an explanation as to why they don't want to undertake a sex act, anyway.
Referring to the 'specimen' incident here.

Ironic really I'm the old-fashioned one here but I'm the one who firmly believes that any person at any time has the right to quit a sexual encounter at any point, no explanation needed.

Now who else thinks they're owed an thousand word cunting explanation as to why a partner doesn't want to do this and that in bed?
Ah yes, the worst of men.

Edited

When you say ONS do you mean I go out and find myself a person to have a one-off sexual encounter with that I never have sex with again after that night-which is my understanding of the term one night stand.

Or to find a man that I immediately have sex with but that would later become my husband but I would refer to as a one night stand in order to perhaps sound edgy and cool?

Seems to be no difference on this thread.
