Worst - classic story - guy 'exploding' and then pulling a 'welp' face and leaving, bless him 😩

I'm sure the ships passing in the night ones where two people just click at a hotel bar knowing they have one night together, have great sex and both will think upon it fondly are romantic.

Copping off with Dave at the pub because nobody else was there that either of you particularly fancied and him pissing off afterwards not so much.

After all, if you really liked each other it would be the beginning of your relationship not a ONS.

There's usually alcohol involved, too.

You've completely misunderstood what I was saying and responding to.

Had a ONS with a guy who would meet the medical definition of a micropenis.
I think I was his first.
He wanted a repeat, and I said no. He got really aggressive via texts etc.

Definition of small dick syndrome

Waheymum · Today 09:28

I can't really remember... I always had the naive aim of them becoming relationships... I've been on some awful first dates that were so bad they didn't progress to sex though.

Lost count of how many times I promised myself i wouldn't sleep with them on the first date. Not one of them was worth it. Things you look back on.

By that definition, there would only be bad one-night stands! Rare exceptions for inescapable 'ships passing' circumstances but, on the whole, a good experience means you do it again.

I always thought you should shag 'em asap, or you'd end up wasting weeks or months getting involved - only to find it doesn't work in bed, and then you've got yourselves a fraught situation.

I've had a few good one-night stands which didn't proceed to relationships for various reasons: one of us wanted a relationship but the other didn't; we obviously just weren't romantically compatible even though we'd had good sex; one of us had feelings for someone else. I had a few years where I just really didn't want to be in a relationship so I could focus on getting over a break-up and starting my career... but I still wanted sex sometimes.

I totally agree with your second point, though- went home with my now-wife on the first date, and have just celebrated 10 years together.

Worst: he kept asking me to talk dirty to him, not in a sexy way but pretty aggressively demanding, I said “errrrrm: eeeeeeerm, stick it to me” it sounded absurd and I couldn’t stop laughing. He grabbed his clothes and left i a huff. This was at uni and he was called “stick it to me” by my mates for ages after that.

Best: also at uni, I was walking back to my apartment with a bloke I vaguely knew, we stole a dinghy and spent ages getting it upstairs and onto our roof, no bloody idea why, it just seemed like a good idea at the time. We then had sex in it and fell asleep. Woke up and took the dinghy back. We became friends after that but never had sex again.

DH was supposed to be a ONS, that was what we both intended but a week later we met up again and that was that.

Stop the Small Boats!!!

🤣🚤

I am not judgemental about one night stands but I don't necessarily think they're anything to be proud of.

Men aren't that choosy especially once drunk so having ons are not a badge of honour.
Oh look I've had one night stands. Who cares?
Most of them aren't ons anyway-just people effectively sleeping together on what will be retrospectively be the first date.

Yeah I'm sure a few cases are genuine cases where the people involved would have sex again if not for circumstances but most are grubby as f*

Why would anybody admit to them? It's admitting to be the sort of person who is laissez-faire about personal safety.

Plus of course you don't know who you're dealing with.

Can't think of one best but have had a few where it's been good sex and then perfectly nice 'OK, bye' afterwards. TBH the best part for me anyway was always when you met/flirted etc and you knew you were going home together. That sense of anticipation is one of the best feelings around IMO.

Worst was the specimen who, when I wanted him to go down on me, froze, looked petrified, muttered, 'I don't do that,' gathered his things and scuttled off.

I have to say there are some on here that are rape/sexual assault rather than bad ONS.

You're banging on about rape/sexual assault, then you describe a man who refused to be coerced by you into a sex act he didn't want to do as "the speciman"!

You've got some brass neck, I'll give you that! 😂

I was once orally pleasuring a man and puked all over him.

Orange Bicardi Breezer. Used to be my drink of choice. It isn’t any more.

Best ONS I kept. They’re sitting next to me after having just made me a cottage pie. I’m not letting this one go.

I did this once but I'd just had a Tesco BLT sandwich

I found out later that particular act is called a BLT

WHile I was mortified the partner said it actually felt quite nice

'banging on', is it? I said it once.

When did I say I tried to coerce him? Hmm
I suggested it once. I did not repeat it, or wheedle, or guilt-trip, or raise my voice. I did not try to force his head down/grab hold of him so he couldn't move/do any of the things men have done IME to try to get things they wanted.
His immediate response was to run off.

My point, which I think is clear from my post, was the WAY he responded. I'd have felt a lot different if he'd said e.g. 'Let me do this instead' and done something else.

MummySleepDeprived · Today 09:55

Goth guy at uni and an acquaintance. Sex wasn't great and neither finished. We hung out for coffee a few months later and he told me he realised he wasn't bi as he thought- he was gay and that I was the last woman he'd sleep with. But thanks because it helped him figure that out. I tried to take that in the spirit it was intended 🤣

NadjaofAntipaxos · Today 10:00

Aah, fond memories of many a ONS whilst travelling. Definitely cases of ships passing in the night and I definitely wasn't looking for anything more. We were all young, fit, suntanned and sex-obsessed! I'm really glad I had the experience and don't look back at it as being in any way "grubby", just really fun and free.
Best was a gorgeous Swedish bloke I took home from a night out in Sydney. Night of great sex and many orgasms. I went and woke my friend up in the morning to tell her all about it the bedroom next door and we were giggling on her bed with the door open when he strolled across the landing stark bollock naked to use the bathroom. She started screaming "oh my god it's Ryan Phillipe". And he stuck his head out the loo and said "no it's just Martin".
Martin you were HOTTER than Ryan. And thanks again for your service.

So because he didn't do a sex act that you wanted, you call him "the specimen"?

A bit dehumanising, isn't it?

Jesus, are Orwell's language police on this thread?
I suppose one should put a massive 'LIGHT-HEARTED' banner before anything that anyone could find something to remotely object to.

And it's interesting how you change your direction of attack rather than engaging with my response to your last one.

EmailsaysOOO · Today 10:13

Nothing to note about a ONS. Instead though, met a guy on a ferry to France who kissed me like nobody has ever kissed me before or since. Like I thought I was going to orgasm. Better than sex in fact.

WigglyFlingo · Today 10:19

Best: A beautiful, exotic man 7 years younger than me. Unreal night. We sat on his balcony, listening to Billy Joel, drinking and proceeded to have the best sex of my life. Multiple times. He’s a million miles away now, and I’m married with children. He wanted more but it wouldn’t have worked, for so many reasons. Precious night that’ll stay with me forever. We loosely keep in touch, and he sent me a video recently of a wedding he was at with a snippet of “Piano Man” playing in the background. We both know what that night was, and it would have never been the same had there been a repeat.

Worst: A drunk soldier who forgot my name, and I woke up to a puddle because he pissed the bed. Once he learned my name, he asked for a repeat. Fuck that.
