What are you doing this fine Friday night? What general area, life situation, age etc?
Late 40’s here, live abroad, but desperate to return home. Lay on sofa, very hot, listening to my Dd play upstairs with her friend, batting flies off me, night in front of the tele when really should make the effort to go to the beach down the road and make the most of summer.
In a rubbish marriage, challenging child who I adore and trying to keep hope for the future

You?

Horrible busy week and was looking forward to a relaxing evening in front of the telly but been having signal issues all week so foolishly went on roof to see if I could adjust ariel in my slippers and anyway I've fallen off and now have a pack of peas on my ankle and to top it off the signal is worse. If I had the strength I'd go back up again but I just can't manage it and don't know what I'm doing up there anyway. Absolutely fed up

Sitting on my recliner looking out at the trees and the hills. There's a bit of smoke up there in the distance so it might be a gorse fire, nothing on the local news about it. Yet.

Have just finished filling multiple watering cans and carting them up and down the long garden to give the plants a drink. Am wrecked now. But I bought a small festival cart and will put the cans in that from tomorrow, when I assemble it, looks so cute and will save my 65yr old back!

Other than that, I'm here on my own which is great, nothing new there, I live alone. Don't drink so having a decaf with frothy stuff and a Wispa bar. LOL.

Decaf with frothy stuff? Details please ☺️

Mid-40s, single.
My teenager is overseas, so I've spent the week in blissful quiet.
Went out after 8pm to watch the sun set. Back now watching a K-drama.

Which one? Really need some inspiration!

pinkpony88 · 24/07/2026 22:08

I’m 50, DH early 60’s. Went for a walk round the village. I wore previously comfy sandals that for some reason have made 2 huge blisters on the soles of my feet so spent the rest of the evening with them up! Knew I should have worn trainers! 🤣

SilverBlue4 · 24/07/2026 22:12

46 but feel 86

Just finished watching Masters of the Universe on prime while eating holy moly guacamole and tortilla chips
Highly recommend the film if you were of the He Man era 😁

I'm 48, single and bought a camper van this time last year. I'm currently on the Yorkshire coast between Whitby and Staithes. I'm just contemplating doing some cooking whilst relaxing outside my van with a glass of wine.
Life may not be perfect but it could be worse.

Oooh that’s our favourite area @AlexC1978. We are also looking at camper vans but will be next year at the earliest. Enjoy!

35, at home with husband discussing whether or not to have a third baby is a good idea or stopping at two is sensible!

I'm watching The First Man on Kocowa.
I absolutely love the madness 😊.

Mid sixties. Currently on a cruise ship heading for the fjords. Just had a formal night. Started the day by eating a whole days worth of calories in one meal! I have the most dreadful sciatica.

LumpkinPumpkin · 24/07/2026 22:29

30s, two primary age kids.

Late home from work due to a safeguarding issue, family dinner, bedtime x2, wine on the bench that overlooks the field watching the bats go by and laughing at the sheep with a weird baa, fed the animals, now in bed.

WigglyFlingo · 24/07/2026 22:30

Mid 30s. Just settled the two kids into bed on holiday in a far too hot North African holiday.

Can’t wait to get home. Thankfully they’ve had an amazing time.

Oh, I want to do that. Lived in Norway as a kid and would love to go back one more time. Sorry about your back, hope the trip fun though?

I love a cat that likes a walk. My old boy used to sit on the doorstep and greet passersby, loved women in particular.

A proper charmer with the ladies! :-) He sounded lovely.

Cantstomachanothercheesywotsit · 24/07/2026 22:41

Loving all these 💓

That sounds so cool to me, enjoy

I’m nosy too and it’s great to hear what people are up to. I prefer staying at home but feel a lot of guilt for it - no idea why really! Maybe because I don’t have kids and feel like I should be out ‘making the most of it’.

Lying wide awake with feelings of indigestion.

3 year old having first sleepover at his Nana's with his big sister ♥️

Husband and I had a lovely date night at an Indian restaurant, watched some TV and chatted away.

I'm still pretty surprised I haven't had a phonecall. Can't wait to see his wee proud face in the morning.

I spent the evening trying not to drink alcohol, I succeeded and now have another yellow teacup on my try dry app. It was laborious and I knew I would sleep fitfully and be up early, which was 3am.

@Happyjoeits our second trip to Norway. Isn’t it the most beautiful country? Book that cruise….

Decaf with frothy stuff? Details please ☺️

Oh it's just a cup of decaf coffee in a half filled mug. Then I warm some milk (microwave), add some vanilla coffee syrup and use a frother, pour the frothy milk on to the coffee, and if I'm in the mood I make a smiley face on top ha ha.

46, single and childfree in London. Just took the dogs to the park, had a long chat with a dog-friend, went to the coffee-shop (yes, with the dogs!) to read my book and bought some stuff for breakfast. I was supposed to go to central london to meet a friend but it's been cancelled so I'm staying put with the dogs, no plans after breakfast.

Travelling back home after a day and night away with my partner. He'll watch F1, I'll nap and we'll get takeaway. Late 40's, child free. Life is good.
