Not to mention the colossal financial and environmental disaster of HS2 which he personally signed off on, or the PPE cockups, he has now said the risk to MPs safety “remains low”.
this is after 3/650 MPs have been murdered at work in the last ten years - roughly 0.05%.
A comparable percentage of say lawyers or departmental civil servants as related professions would equate to 2250 civil servant murders and 1500 lawyer murders in the last ten years.
The actual number of murders at work for these roles in the last ten years is ZERO.
MPs, particularly female ones, are increasingly at risk and lying to the public about it is only going to make it worse. Although I appreciate for someone like Boris Johnson it’s a hard habit to break.

Maybe there are some benefits but it’s not cost effective surely - it would never have been ok’d if the true cost was presented from the outset.

I’m not sure of your maths (I think the % is higher) but share your general dislike of Johnson. As an ex PM he gets protection, so it’s very easy for him to say how nice and safe everyone is.

3/650 is 0.5%, not 0.05%. If you’re counting all MPs murdered in the last 10 yrs, that’s 2. And you wouldn’t divide by 650, you’d to need to divide by how many different MPs there have been in the last 10 yrs.
If you’re including Ann Widdecombe as your third, then you need to also add previous MPs to the number you’re dividing by, as that’s what she was.
I’m pretty sure this would be higher than 0.05%.

Labour and Starmer said, at the time and since, that the event complied with the rules for work gatherings, with a pause for food.

I couldn't believe that he was given so much power and people were actually saying 'oh but he's so funny' as an excuse (he wasn't, and he isn't). I was on repeat, like a dalek, stating HE IS A VERY DANGEROUS MAN. And no amount of "Fwah Fwah" and bogus Latin could change that view. Where's that red bus again ? Promising the NHS £350 million if UK left the EU ? Maybe it's also under the rock he slimed under.....

He's more suited to being a television personality/comedian than a politician. He has huge charisma which got him elected. Charisma is not enough to effectively govern a country though.

The PPE cock ups were global. Every country in the world was desperately scrambling for PPE so they had to take chances. If the UK were alone in this, you'd have an argument but they weren't. Even Grey's Anatomy ran a story about the US making the same mistakes, it's no secret.

The problems with HS2 are mainly related to spending far too much money on the environmental impact.

We should have just planned it - built it and then dealt with the environmental stuff after it was up and running. It should have been lined up to go from London to Edinburgh, via Birminham and Manchester with a speed to do that trip in around 2hrs 30.Everything else should have been placed secondary to getting from L<->E in 2:30.

The danger now is that it will be going from nowehere useful to nowhere else useful at a speed that is not fast enough to be useful. too many compromises in my book.

Also that village to the N of heathrow needs knocking down and the 3rd and 4th runways being built. Hope Andy B. gets on the case there.

Agree, he is a narcissistic prick whose ego and feud with Cameron is responsible for Brexit. He hasn't done anything for the good of others, he has always been entirely self seeking and doesn't have an altruistic bone in his body.
