Not to mention the colossal financial and environmental disaster of HS2 which he personally signed off on, or the PPE cockups, he has now said the risk to MPs safety “remains low”.
this is after 3/650 MPs have been murdered at work in the last ten years - roughly 0.05%.
A comparable percentage of say lawyers or departmental civil servants as related professions would equate to 2250 civil servant murders and 1500 lawyer murders in the last ten years.
The actual number of murders at work for these roles in the last ten years is ZERO.
MPs, particularly female ones, are increasingly at risk and lying to the public about it is only going to make it worse. Although I appreciate for someone like Boris Johnson it’s a hard habit to break.

He had the opportunity to do lots of good things & control illegal immigration. He could have been the most popular PM since Winston Churchill. He blew it for self interests.

I am less bothered by the Labour front bench. They've dropped some howlers, but they have delivered more manifesto pledges than many other recent governments. Let's see what the Messiah / Naughty Boy does. He's already planning to break one by the seem of it.

Of course, it is debatable whether the manifesto pledges were good ones, but if one takes the view that a government is voted in based on what they were, then it is reasonable to assume that the electorate support the manifesto pledges.

We needed new train lines to increase capacity and still need them.
The massive ballooning costs if the project and the muddled priorities which led to them becoming hyper focused on speed rather than capacity and then overspending to the point we got neither speed or increased capacity/connectivity to the North plus dodgy dealings with his families land investments.was not needed.

Just like we needed PPE during the pandemic but didn't need to throw billions at the likes Michelle Mone and other Tory donors.

He would be a major target so playing it down is hardly in his own interest is it. And it is low risk when you think one in three of us will get cancer. It's probably about the same risk as having a rare genetic disorder. It is also really impossible to fully protect all current and former MPs 24/7 from every nutter out there.

HS2 isn't good enough, we should have Japanese style bullet trains between every major city.

Tbh I am burnt out on hyper aggressive posts toward politicians. It seems to be escalating. I think it might be time for some awareness that psychopaths are listening and we need to speak with due moderation.

They literally blocked companies who had supplied the nhs for decades in order to give money to their mates. Trusts were not allowed to place orders for PPE from their usual suppliers.
It was almost as if the government did not know that systems and expertise for providing PPE, infectious disease control, contact tracing were already established and just needed additional finance and support.
No need at all to suddenly have to give millions to their cronies to reinvent the wheel.

We're stuck with him for the foreseeable future as all living ex-PMs are invited to line up at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Day. He will also turn up at the next Royal Funeral, the next Coronation, etc etc. I agree he's a loathsome man.
