AIBU to find the cooler weather surprisingly cold after the heatwave?

Climate change and recurring heatwaves terrify me so I hate to admit this but the recent drop to the high twenties feels unbelievably cold. The overnight temperatures are positively wintry. Tell me I am not the only one!

I'm bloody freezing today. I'm sitting here with a hot water bottle. Last night I dug my fluffy bed socks back out.

We've turned the A/C off and are using the fan again because its cheaper 😂

I need to exercise but I don't want to put my shorts on because it's too cold 😄

The famously intolerant hoi polloi are now angling for a reason to boot up the central heating after spending several weeks moaning it is too hot.

Surely no-one without a health condition is actually cold, as in needing a hot water bottle, in anything over around 22-24c?? I can understand getting chilly at night when the temperature (finally!) drops but feeling it's cold in the high 20s? Definitely would see a GP.

I'm in North Yorkshire.

I don’t have central heating, I certainly wouldn’t use it at these temperatures. I’m shocked at how rapidly I acclimated to the heat and how a drop of almost ten degrees can feel so frosty.

It’s pathetic.

And attention seeking.

Unless these people have medical conditions which mean they’re incapable of self regulating their temperature this is all just over exaggerated for clicks.

Cold? Granted it’s cooler but not cold. Absehcevif sun and a breeze makes a big difference but I’m still in vestvtop and shorts. Fan has been turned off now in lieu of the breeze (London).?

It’s still warm so YABU

It’s mild and I’ve closed a few windows, but most are still open. It’s grey and 17 degrees and perfectly fine.
I am wearing socks again.

I'm still roasting where I am, actually to the point I have totally had enough and had a little cry over it this morning (I'm menopausal and just can't handle it at all).

I went away at the weekend, only 2 hours away up along the coast and the temperature was 20. Pure bliss imo, I could have my trusty hot water bottle for my IBS for the first time in weeks and cosy socks in bed. My body prefers cooler weather, it actually functions so much better which is why I'm struggling again this week, my body and mind go on strike in the extreme heat.

I was absolutely freezing on Monday night and woke up! I walked the dog at 7am and there was a slight drizzle for a min, also felt freezing! 🤣

I wanted it to cool down and it’s good that it has, I just wasn’t expecting to feel cold at a temperature that I’d usually experience as warm.

I’ll admit to being a weather whinger. It’s very rare that I find a medium which makes me happy, weather or temperature wise. Barcelona in November came closest!

I’m loving it! I had to put my cosy fleece hoodie on the other night! I was in heaven!

It was 37 here yesterday, storms at 4:30am, and was 21 this morning and it is flipping fantastic.

It has been 27 degrees with a breeze for the last few days. It now means I am comfortable without a fan sitting indoors. It is still hot in the sun. Nights are cool enough to sleep without a fan and a very thin duvet.
After the temperatures in the 30s, this feels comfortable. In the past, it would have felt too hot. I really do not understand feeling cold in this and I do feel the cold a lot.
