Is there any nice tasting alcohol free wine? Every red I have tasted is like vinegar and white isn't much better but at least I can add lemonade.
I'm 3 weeks into a years abstinence and I miss the social aspect of it, the alcohol free lager is ok.
Shall I just give up with the wine or have any of you found the holy grail.
Oh and my aibu is am I bu to moan about this.

McGuigan Zero white is nice
Adnams rose is lovely
Waitrose do a gorgeous red, the only nice red I've ever tried

Just started out on this voyage of discovery and so far Aldi no alcohol red is vile. I’ve also bought( silly me) after reading reviews a case of Eisberg Merlot. Too sweet so reading more reviews I bought seasn and tried a few drops of that in it but still not to my taste so then Sangria- works a treat. Great in this hot weather but not sure come the cooler days. Will have to try some of the recommendations oh here.

Just read reviews on Waitrose site for Zeno red and the overall view was not good and particularly at around £10 a bottle.

Wanted to add that going back over 10 years ago bought non alcoholic wine for DM and to be honest doesn’t seem to be much improvement. So disappointed.

Not that one..I can't remember the name but had a look through and don't think it's any of those in stock currently

Tanquery zero is very ginny and corona zero is almost indistinguishable from the alcohol lager. I drink a lot of Kylie 0% and freixinet 0% too.

Interested to hear positive reviews of the Captain Morgan I’ll give that a rattle.

I'm also still trying to find a good alcohol free wine, in my case a white, not sparkling.

I do recommend Brewdog's Hazy Jane Alcohol free IPA though. Available in larger branches of Morrisons.

Aldi Fizzero is pretty good.

Spritzers made with AF wine and Dash water - the peach or lime with white, the cherry or blackcurrant with red - work really well.

But other than that I don't rate any of the AF wines.

Inches 0% cider is excellent though, as is Brewdog Mello and Peroni 0% Blood Orange.

SpaceAngel1999 · 19/07/2026 15:18

Nosecco is ok, best one I’ve found

Sorry it's Aldi Zerozecco not Fizzero!

I don’t rate the wines but the zero alcohol spirits are much better. You can make lovely drinks with them. The aperol and the gin varieties.

Thebinisrightthere · 22/07/2026 15:53

I don't like beer but the 0% beer in Lidl is really good. If we go out & I'm not drinking i have a flavoured tonic water with ice & a slice

Wokeuptired · 22/08/2026 21:40

Omg I think I have found the one, or DH did as I sent him out and I told him I wanted a Kylie rose, he was good and got that but he also got a Kylie sparkling savingon blanc
If you chill it really well it tastes similar to a champagne from m&s.

Divin make really good non alcoholic wines. You can get it in M and S or at Vino Zero

Aside from M&S Rose which is almost like a watered down wine, the still wines are terrible.
Better off with something like Portal do Minho Vinho Verde which is 8% .

I drink mock Sea Breezes - cranberry and grapefruit juice with a bit of lime.
Soda and lime in the pub.

Giraffehaver · 22/08/2026 22:26

I've become addicted to Waterdrop. Delicious

FuriousInventions · 22/08/2026 22:50

Aldi’s zerosecco is the best alcohol-free Prosecco I’ve had (10 years into abstinence so I’ve tried several!)

If you want to push the boat out for a special occasion, Real sparkling tea from Waitrose is lovely as an alternative to wine.
