I confessed to a friend that I had a bit of a crush on Postman Pat. He’s not the most conventionally attractive man, but he has a calming way about him, and is clearly a capable problem solver and provider. He’ll also have a good public sector pension, and security is a big plus for me.

I mentioned this to a friend and she said I had “no chance”. She said Pat was a middle-aged single man with a cat, and I should “read between the lines”.

AIBU or is my friend just jealous?

Slightly off topic, but I love Postman Pat's Birthday episode where he and Miss Hubbard drink 'Fruit juice' together, and she gets hiccups and goes all giggly.

For what it's worth, I've always believed Miss Hubbard to be lesbian, but never Mrs Goggins as some seem to think.

Still though...now you know you can't take this any further, you have to forget about this crush. You would get hell on here if you put yourself out to him, think about his poor wife and child for goodness sake. You dont want to be that woman!!!

Postman pat is married and has a son julian his wife is called sara who works in the station cafe.

When I was 5, and I'm 61 now, I was SO IN LOVE with Scott from Thunderbirds!

I thought he was the most gorgeous man EVER, and I wanted desperately to marry him!

I worried myself silly about him when he got into dangerous situations, cried for him, everything!

Then one day I saw a wire attached to him and realised he's a puppet!

I still have a crush on him to this day!
