I mean, she doesn't do much else.

YANBU. I bet you feed her, take her out for walks in all weather and let her sit on the sofa with you.

Furry cocklodger.

TennesseeDreams · 20/06/2026 15:14

Sadly it’s the whole lack of opposable thumb issue.

that’s what my dog tells me.

my cats tell me it’s both the lack of an opposable thumb …. And a lack of willing.

MarthaBerry · 20/06/2026 15:20

My cock lodher expects the earth and says even if had the thumbs that this is absolutely not a task he’d consider to be his

omghereistrouble · 20/06/2026 15:20

tea would be a bonus but pushing the vacuum round now and again even better. Also put in his smelly blankets in the washer every week!

BiteSizedLife · 20/06/2026 15:22

YABU she is a princess and should be treated as such 😂

Make the tea indeed...

As far as my cat is concerned, the no opposable thumb thing is a poor second to "I have no fucking intention. Get the
dumbarse dog to do it".

i recall some reaearch somewhere that said cats COULD be trained just like dogs i.e. they are just as clever, can understand etc... they just dont give a shit 😂

TheDogsMother · 20/06/2026 15:45

It’s the least dogs could do really. They are economically inactive plus the moulting. Furry fecks.

justthecat · 20/06/2026 15:58

That picture looks like the cat is questioning why the dog doesn’t do more 😂

That's exactly what he's doing. Actually they are proper bezzie mates but we're not allowed to talk about it because apparently it's "against Cat Code".

I thought the cat was wondering why the dog-lodger was sitting on her sofa.

Loulou4022 · 20/06/2026 16:14

But when you’re that beautiful you get a free pass to do nothing other than provide cuddles and emotional support!

InkyWink · 20/06/2026 16:18

This has really made me smile, not even a dog person tbh but she's cute!

Charliecatpaws · 20/06/2026 16:20

I remember once asking one of my cats if she would learn to iron, the LOOK she gave me was awful 😳

I mean wow what an absolutely gorgeous dog she is! If I looked like that I'd sit around all day too! Id settle for mine picking up his own poo but there you go!

My cats (brother/sister) would question "Why the dog is.............."
Not why doesn't it do but why does it exist .

When they moved in , they assured my DD they could help because they were " A Barrister and A Lawyer"
Turns out they are a barista and a liar

And lied about being a barista .

Gits

Dilbertian · 20/06/2026 16:28

YABExtremyU. She is clearly very busy being cute. It takes up every moment and every speck of energy. She puts so much effort into the high purpose of being cute for you, yet you demand that she descends to the depths of mundanity - a cup of tea?

Seriously, woman, get your priorities right.

Mercurial1 · 20/06/2026 16:37

That face 😍

Noodleschicken · 20/06/2026 16:38

It’s the kids job to make tea. The dogs job is to make you feel guilty every time you leave them.

Isitevensummer · 20/06/2026 16:41

I've got 2 of the little blighters. Seriously think they should go out to work!

Middlemarch123 · 20/06/2026 16:46

One of my cats brings me snacks, I don’t even request them, last night it was a baby mouse on my pillow! Another time I got a frog dropped on my foot when I was hanging out laundry. Both survived thankfully, after I thanked puss profusely and returned to the garden.

I walk a spaniel for an elderly neighbour, and he gets her slippers for her and collects any post from the front door mat and drops it at her feet. I loves him so much.

CrushingOnRubies · 20/06/2026 16:49

My dog does agility with my mums. (Both go for the social aspect more than anything whilst I’m at work!) so knows her lefts and rights better than I do and the words tunnel, A- frame & over. but not make a cuppa please.

Well my dogs gave me affection, protection and warmth at night. They acted delighted to see me when I came home. And forced me to take much needed exercise. My cats? They might come over to say hello, but usually it’s to tell me their food bowl needs a top up with fresh kibble, not this stuff that was there since morning. The most protection they offer is against the odd fly or moth that mistakenly flies too close to the ground. And because they would wake me up at the first sign of dawn (now 4.30am) to demand breakfast they have to be confined downstairs. And thrilled to see me when I get home? I went on holiday for two weeks and they barely noticed! And they’d be happy if I never left the sofa (except to feed them). But I love them. No matter how judgemental.

My cat Esther, long since departed, used to put five Scrumbles in my slipper every night. Like, can you count? And secondly, why only five? Are you calling me fat, bitch?
