To ask what are you worrying about most this week? That's if you are if course

We all have worries don't we? What's the biggest stressor/thing on your mind at the moment?
Are you one of the lucky and rare ones that never worry?
If so how do you do it?

My dad has been diagnosed with heart failure and they also suspect he has Parkinson’s, my partner is also going for a heart scan as well as they suspect t something is wrong with his next week as well as my brother having a colonoscopy. My older daughter doesn’t know all this and she’s been having lots of ocd episodes and I’m going through private health care atm trying to get her connected with a psychologist. All the while I’m also at home one week in from abdominal surgery. You honest could not make this shit up.

PeoniesAreMyFavouriteFlowers · 07/06/2026 16:31

Money. Just not having enough to cover the bills.

Need to find a new job. Worried about taking the risk even if get a new job. What if I am shit at it?

Worried about old age and poverty. All the time.

Worried about this constant pain I have in my lower right abdomen.

coolastheproverbialcucumber · 07/06/2026 16:33

DC’s GCSEs (well, their mental wellbeing as they’re exhausted); parents’ declining health and job security.

Quite a few things.

Our nanny just put in her notice and we don’t have any childcare beyond next Thursday.

My child is having emotional challenges at school and the teacher is being a) uncommunicative b) defensive c) witnessed that she is mocking his voice and d witnessed that she told the class that child is ‘driving everyone mad’.

Above child is also waking multiple times at tight due to anxiety.

A very very tight, challenging deadline at work to squeeze into the next week or so.

Your poor child. This is so sad and hard to deal with.

RedRosie · 07/06/2026 16:34

(Very) elderly parents 200 miles away and 20 miles apart, one in hospital and one at home. Continual low-level worry, with occasional unpredictable high level worry (to break up the week).

Very! Calling headteacher for a meeting next week.

longtompot · 07/06/2026 17:04

I will be worrying about a friend who is going through cancer surgery this week, and I hope it is successful and she recovers well.

Finchgold · 07/06/2026 17:08

Lots of low level work things, never feel like I’m doing a good enough job. I’m freelance and dont have enough work so money is a big worry just now. Feel like I’m not giving my son the opportunities I want him to have. Said son is poorly this weekend so now I’m worrying about how that’s going to impact the work week ahead and impact all the other worries!

Tiredofshit · 07/06/2026 17:14

I’m being measured tomorrow for my radiotherapy to start. I’m worrying how it will be, what side effects I have and how much it’ll affect my breast visually. But I’m grateful to have it.

1AnotherOne · 07/06/2026 17:15

Nothing. I’ve learnt worrying is a waste of my energy. Most of the time it’s needless and everything works out.

I’m hoping for positive news and a relatively stress free week. I have some nice plans.

Doihavetogotoworkdotcom1 · 07/06/2026 17:19

I’ve been working at a new job for 7 weeks. Last week to colleagues were deliberately rude to me. I’m dreading work tomorrow.

Turnedtochaos · 07/06/2026 17:24

I’ve been really bad today.

Money. My vehicle needs a 3k repair I can not afford. I don’t have a clue what I’m going to do. It’s my work vehicle so I need it.
We are so skint I almost never make it to the end of the month. Cost of living has crippled us.

Im also worried about a job I have applied for which is a pay rise but I am up against massive competition.

Everything feels impossible.

keepswimming38 · 07/06/2026 17:39

I’m worried because my daughter survived sepsis in early April but she’s been left struggling to walk. I worry every minute of every day since.

Twinklefeet · 07/06/2026 17:40

The only worry i have right now is do i order the donna wrap or the burger for dinner.

Other than that small problem nope no worries.

Boudy · 07/06/2026 17:46

I have low level worry during the day and the early hours of the morning more extreme worry. Worrying re my sons..ages 26,19..jobs etcetc. Worrying about money and worrying about my health. It is there all the time but do have joy too.Sorry to all the worriers on here!

Andsoitbeganagain · 07/06/2026 17:50

Work and the outcome of a complaint. My upcoming holiday and everything I need to do at work to get even the tiniest bit of peace of mind while I'm away. My friend who is consumed by grief.

My DM had breast radiotherapy, she tolerated it really well and has been left with no lasting effects. I know it’s different for everyone, but it’s not always as awful as you might expect. Wish you well!

WonderingWanda · 07/06/2026 14:02

Not much this week but I've noticed my anxiety/sleep/rational thought/ ability to drive/ ability to cope with work is very much linked to my menstrual cycle.

This is so true. I'm not an anxious / worried person in general but for 2-3 days a month I come perilously close to burning my life down and going to live in a cave in the woods! Fucking perimenopause Hmm

I’m very sorry to hear this, I can’t imagine the level of worry. I hope she makes a speedy full recovery x

monicagellerbing · 07/06/2026 17:56

I am. I’ve put a complaint in with the Trust that runs my daughter’s school about their complete lack of action to help with her EBSA. 9 weeks of them shrugging their shoulders. Worried about the way they will be with me now when see them, especially the dragon of a SENCO, however no one else will advocate for my daughter so I had no choice. Hopefully this will make them realise they are letting her down immeasurably.

Bringyourfoldingchair · 07/06/2026 17:58

On the grand scheme of it, not real worries. But my new start staff asked for a pay rise on Friday after 2 weeks in the job and having not actually produced anything yet, so I’m worried they will be trouble. I have a meeting in my calendar tomorrow organised by a colleague the same grade as me that is workshy and keeps trying to palm their work off and when I refuse they’re passive aggressive. It’s to talk about a project they’re trying to drag me into that our manager has already spoke to her about and has said shes to lead on, but manager is off sick atm. Dunno if I should bother going or not.

Nowtnorsummat · 07/06/2026 18:06

My sympathies to everyone with big concerns.

My chronic anxieties which I am flip-flopping between constantly are current lack of financial (and home) security, is our DC's primary school of shrinking numbers going to have to close, work is always so frantically busy, my health and mortality.

Sigh.

Dragonfly97 · 07/06/2026 20:08

Slightly worried about the wait for gynae surgery for a large ovarian cyst; got an appointment with the anaesthetist/ pre-op assessment on Tues, so hoping it won't be much longer. Been waiting since December.

Danikm151 · 07/06/2026 20:12

Not having any money this week till payday.
The freezer and cupboards are fully stocked with food for me and my son but I don’t have any packed lunch style food in for me to take to work- he has school dinners.
It will be leftovers being taken in which is fine but I have nosey colleagues that will spot it and question it.
